Chapter 32 Show off skills in front of expert

SheLin lowered his head afraid to even up to see his lord's cold handsome countenance. These few days had been a series of events that had led to him not able to fully face his lord's wrath.

When that Xun child had disappeared into thin air, without any trail and clues, SheLin wanted to throw up blood. Earlier that day, Xun BingBing told him she wanted some privacy, SheLin took the opportunity to find her clan's people to retrieve her. Who knew when he found and brought a Crimson Wolf member to the area last Xun BingBing went to, they could not find any trace of her.

Hence, SheLin was sidetracked from his main mission to find the young little miss and had to follow the Crimson Wolf to find their missing child. Just as they were splitting up to do a search party for Xun BingBing, they encountered a fleeing party of mortals on one side, and TiaoDao sect on the other. SheLin was amused but he did not have time else he would want to be entertained to watch the two parties clash.

"Evil cult TianDao! This master have no time to trifle with you. Leave us be or die here!" MengTian spoke out coldly, using his inner Qi, from the carriage, so his words could be heard and oppress the listeners.

What damn luck! LaoHai was still unconscious and just as they were rushing to another city, the TianDao sect had to show up. He really doesn't want to dirty his hands on these lowly people.

"What a joke! We are on the way to greet our JiaoZhu, yet we actually encounter you. Today we meet is truly fated ah! Shall we finally take you down and gift to our JiaoZhu?" The tall pretty girl with freckles and simple bun, snickered, nonplussed with MengTian's show of power.

"Impertinence!" MengTian's assistant said angrily.

MengTian gritted his teeth in anger while he garnered his powers, wanting to blast the rude girl.

"Xiao Man, don't be rude to your elders," YunMeng casually strode in from a corner of the forest.

"Meng FuJiaoZhu!" The freckled girl named Xiao Man cried out enthusiastically. "We did not seek out the demonic leader of Right Eastern Alliance but they send themselves to our hands. Don't you think today is a good day to rid us of this demon?"

"JiaoZhu, what do you think?" YunMeng asked the cloaked MiYue, who came unannounced, just like her earlier on.

"We are being watched," MiYue said softly to YunMeng before she flew up to the branch of a tree. The disciples smiled widely and their chest puffed up when they saw their JiaoZhu. With JiaoZhu around, they could showcase their improved abilities and gain recognition from her.

"Oh? Do we have an additional audience? Care to reveal yourself?" YunMeng peered at the shadows deep in the forest.

"Only cowards or those with bad intentions lurk in the dark. Show yourself." Xiao Man shuttled to next YunMeng and said provokingly, while hiding behind the second commander's back, earning herself a mocking gaze from YunMeng. Even her fellow disciple sisters and brothers expressed their exasperation at Xiao Man's false bravado by rolling their eyes to shaking their heads.

TianDao sect was an upright sect, eradicating bad demons and bringing peace to civilians. The elder disciples from previous grandmaster JiaoZhu had strict training and hardly left Mount ShiTou (rock). The disciples were either sent to Mount ShiTou when they were young by their destitute parents and family, not able to rear them up. It was said that TianDao not only taught the children martial arts but also provide monthly stipends.

The ability to defend yourselves was definitely a big advantage but able to provide the family with additional income without to clothe or feed them was the main draw for families to send their children to TianDao sect. However, not all the children were accepted as the sect disciples. They had to have the gift or show aptitude to learning. Thus, the children whom were forced upon the sect without being accepted, could only serve the sect without receiving martial arts and other training.

Those accepted, had to face arduous training, and to those children who could not take the hardship and gave up would be sent away. Following to those who passed the initial training and tests, to level up as full disciples would then continue to practice cultivation.

The disciples continue to raise ranks from a common disciple, to junior disciples to senior disciples to master disciple and finally becoming grandmaster. Not many disciples reach the level of master as they stray their training to love and greed.

And those who became masters hardly attain the level of grandmaster who can become immortal. Only the previous two grandmasters had ascended to Heavens as immortals. The newest JiaoZhu was not an original disciple of the previous grandmaster, but the grandmaster was so impressed with her talents and wisdom, that he gave the seat and responsibility of JiaoZhu to the current Yue JiaoZhu.

With the third JiaoZhu of TianDao sect, Yue JiaoZhu, was constantly veiled, and had never revealed her face to the disciples before. Under her leadership and her co-leader, Meng FuJiaoZhu, they had changed their centuries old training methods.

It was said that Yue JiaoZhu wanted to broaden the disciples training to receive more life experiences by assigning senior main disciples to lead their junior disciples to hunt demons who escaped Hell and otherworldly beings who threaten civilians' peaceful lives.

Over the course of years of fighting small demon and other weak supernatural beings with bad intentions made the disciples confident of their skills. However, to have their JiaoZhu, even though most of them hardly see her, taking a defensive stance in the trees, made the disciples aware of that they were at the presence of a strong opponent.

"Elder, if you are here for the leader of Right Eastern Alliance, we will not cross swords for him, and take him away from you. By all means, you can have him." Xiao Man changed her tune.

"Little girl, are you sure you want us to show ourselves? Are you all prepared? I was just passing by but I don't mind light snacks in between," SheLin chuckled sinisterly, while giving out a rattling hiss for an added effect.

YunMeng looked up to YueMi and mouthed, 'the snake demon'.

"..."

Obviously, the hiss and the rattle were telltale signs of a snake.

The TianDao disciples unconsciously shivered, but the appearance of a demon raised the ire of person cloistered inside his padded carriage.

"Scram! This master has no dispute with both of you and equally no time to deal with any of you!" MengTian let out his stored Qi. His energy spiraled out from his carriage and made the TianDao disciples swaggered to their knees, hurting the younger disciples and causing them to cough out blood.

MengTian let out another wave, and knocked the roof of his carriage to signal to leave. They took the opportunity of the momentum to escape from the TianDao and the unknown demon.

YunMeng motioned her hands and held her people back up to standing positions, while letting those unharmed evade the attack by MengTian.

SheLin merely smiled at the fanfaronade in front of him but before he knew it, his lord suddenly showed up and pulled him away by the neck from the forest, teleporting him to another location.

Hence his current predicament.
