CHAPTER 33

Some weeks later, Adam and Sarana had been dating, calling each others and be loving each other deeply. So it was when his father saw this that was why he told Adam to bring her home for him to see her and also as the only girl Adam would first had, to know each other including her family too put the Nikah down and not that they would have started living together but just wanted to do it as sunna said and to avoid committing of sin by having sex in improper way.

Adam went to pick Sarana at the bus stop, came to meet his father. Door opened and closed two of them entered offered her a seat and went to his father's room to look for him. His stepmother was in the kitchen cooking food for her and her husband when they entered.

"Daddy! Daddy!!" Adam got down to the living room and Calling his father when he couldn't find him in his room.

"Adam!, what is it?" His stepmother asked, coming from outside and going back to the kitchen. She went to get a leaf called bitter leafs.

"Where is Daddy?" Asked with loud voice.

"He received a call few seconds as you left, so he went out!"

"Why is Dad uses to do like this now!, want to keep her waiting!"

"He will be back shortly, told me to tell you that!"

"Okay!" Said and sat down beside Sarana.

"And Adam!" She had wanted to be going before she faced back.

"What?" Asked with annoying voice.

"Your girlfriend don't uses to greet or it's you that told her not to greet me, just looking still I went out and entered now!" She said and went to the kitchen. Adam faced Sarana very well.

"You don't greet her?" Asked with lower voice.

"Why won't I! Off course I do, I said Hi!"

"You said Hi to my stepmother!, so if she is my sister that is how you will greet her. Said Hi!" Said with anger and loud voice.

"No!! Now, I said Hi!" Said with lower voice.

"What is No! Answer me. For you to say Hi to my father's wife so if you see my father you will hug him!"

"Never!, I can't do that even why will I!"

"When you can greet his wife like that what else you won't do!"

"Am sorry Adam!, very sorry!"

"Look here and listen carefully!, me and her can be fighting in the house but I can never allowed an outside to disgrace her!"

"I don't disgraced her!" Said with lower voice.

"Off course you do!, saying Hi to her is an insult!"

"I said am sorry!, I can go and apologize to her!"

"Please leave!" Said with lower voice.

"You said what?" Looked at him.

"Go! Go!!, please take your leave!!" Said with anger again.

"Am sorry! Please forgive me!" Knelt down at the front of him.

"Go for now!, I will call you when my mind is settle!"

"Adam! Am sorry, you are still angry with me!"

"Am not! Just go, you can't see my father today again!"

"Okay! If you said so!" She stood up, took her bag and left. Sound of the door opened and closed.

"Let me rest!" Adam laid on the chair and looking.

After forty minutes that Sarana had left, door opened and closed and Adam's father entered. His stepmother too had done in the kitchen so she was in the living room with Adam.

"Welcome back my husband!" She greeted.

"Thank you! And how are you?" Standing.

"Am good!", Domina was with the twins in their room.

"Daddy! Welcome!" Adam too greeted.

"Adam! Am very sorry, I get a call that those people that I want to do business with from Babylon which you too know about, are in Nigeria right now so I went to meet them. Am sorry my boy!"

"It nothing Dad!, I can understand very well!" Said with smile.

"Where is the girl?"

"You mean Sarana!"

"Yes! Sarana, where is she?"

"She had gone home like forty minutes now!"

"Why?, you should have tell her to wait for me now!"

"She received a call from her mother and told her to come home!"

"And you hope no problem?"

"No problem at all Sir! Just want to see her for something important, she will come back very soon Dad!"

"Okay then!, my wife set my table!"

"Okay! My husband!"

"Have you eating? Adam" his father asked

"No Sir!, just want to go and cook it now!"

"Okay!" He went to his room and Adam's stepmother stood up.

"I can't cook now!, I have to rest very well!"

"You sent the girl away and still lie to your own father!"

"Excuse me Woman!, it's none of your business!" Faced the wall, she looked at him and going to the kitchen. It was everything that he said to Sarana because of her that she heard.

Olawale was in his room resting after having his luch, his mother had went to shop. She used to go to shop on Saturday just only on Sunday that she didn't used to go and Mrs Tayo too. His phone started ringing beside him on the bed, stretched his hand and picked it.

"Hello!" He said with lower voice.

"Hello love!, it's me Zinara!" Said because of the way he responded.

"Off course I know it's you! What is it?"

"Why don't you called me all these while!" Said with lower voice.

"I have told you that I won't call you again until you agree to come down to Nigeria and did you think I just said it!"

"It can't be possible, try and understand now!"

"It's because of your job right!"

"Yes!!, I can't leave my job and come down with nothing"

"I have told you several times that two of us will be running the company, what is it again and now I can't come to U. S"

"Let find another way please!, I don't have any family in Nigeria. My father don't use to come at all so----"

"So! You can't come!, listen if you heard that I get married to that girl that my mother said know that it's you that cause it!"

"Marry! Or what did you said now!" Shouted.

"Yes! You heard me clearly!" Said with anger.

"Oh! My God!" She shouted.

"I will send the map also use goggle map and the address to you now, if you love me come and if you don't stay there. Now I too can't leave my father's land, it's woman that use to come to where her husband is not the husband, here in African!" Said with strong emotion.

"Olawale! What are you saying now!"

"Anytime you have decided to come that is when you should call me, don't ever call me again and good day!"

"What! I should not call you again!"

"Yes! That is it!, if you can't come don't call me again!"

"Oh! My God!, Olawale try to understand now!"

"Understand what? Tell me!, it remain two weeks for the day giving to us by Father to complete so what can I do just to take fate and marry the girl but always remember that I Love You!"

"Ah! I Love You too!" Zinara had been confused.

"Good bye!, call me when you have decided to come!" He hang up, dropped the phone on the bed and looking unhappy.
