Conflict Rumbles (3)

Walking out of the Inn I felt anger fuel me pulsing through my veins as I marched towards the royal quarters. The lion inside me Roared with anger to release me while the void whispered into my ears trying to seductively reason with me to take off my glasses it agreeing with the lion. Rewora only followed behind me watching me walk sternly.

"What do you think you're doing Escanor? Going to do something stupid, are you? Angrily thinking with your fists and not your brain?" She apprehended holding my shoulder stopping me.

"Look Escanor I know what you're about to do and I got to say its incredibly stupid. You are going go their kill their leader and act all prideful and then what? Kill the rest of them and save all the slaves? Slaughtering people just because their beliefs is worse doesn't make you any better than them. You are no better than them when you do so. Lowering yourself to a savage will do you no good. You need to change it from the source. Killing them will only fuel the remaining members. A cycle of hate only remains," She reasoned causing me to stop.

"So what do you propose we do?" I asked.

"For someone so wise such as yourself, you are so blind to the answer. It's obvious. You defame their so-called chosen by god and propose that you instead are the messenger. This will cause infighting among them and eventually bring them to your side. Depending on how loyal they are they will ask questions. Those questions will eventually lead us to win." She answered.

"Let's say this plan of your fails? What next?" I questioned.

"Well, then you do what you think is best. Sometimes thinking through something won't hurt especially when you have the time," She assured.

"I guess your right," I muttered before facing myself back to the royal quarters. Killing people although some would say morally wrong is right. Yet, those same people are also the same people who would kill someone that was in front of them if they were being attacked and forced in a situation that could end them. At the end of the day, everything is circumstantial. The circumstances being more to my favour.

Entering the royal front knights of paladin armour halted me their blade blocking my path as they stood up straight. I only looked at them unfazed.

"Let me pass I have a message to pass to the royals inside," I stated to them.

"Oh? and who is the messenger?" Tne knight questioned.

"You do not have the right to know for he is above us all," I replied.

"Oh, and what authority does he have," The knight snickered.

"I am a messenger of god you have no right to question his authority," I replied grabbing his blade by my hand and casually bending it down.

"Out of my way mortal," I threatened before moving past him.

The display of power caused all them to pause. Thinking that their queen also had a messenger just let him through ad only one blessed by God would have enough strength to bend metal.

Escanor making his way through walked forward to hear yelling and the clanking of metal and explosions. Looking in he saw Merlin and Alexandria blocking fireballs and Blasts of mana. The fought looking forward while the rest fought to the throne. Seeing Alexandria she was focused at attacking the paladins in golden armour while Merlin focused on the sorceress.

Corpses laid on the ground lifelessly as their body were shrivelled as their life force was forcefully sucked out of them. A kid though sat at the back was having a tantrum his hands pounding on the ground as he screamed to be the king of Camelot. Escanor seeing the battle sat at the outer edge of the building as he watched to see the victor.

"Alexandria the false king of Camelot you will die to my blade and shrivel onto the floor as you whither to dust!" A knight shouted as he thrust his blade towards Alexandria before being parried and pushed back. Another knight seeing his comrade forced back all rushed her as they struck their sword forward before having all their swords cut instantly as the sword charged with power.

Though the power of her sword also caused her to let go of it as she fell down on one knee exhausted. Merlin going toe to toe with The sorceress was distracted seeing the fallen Alexandria and was struck by a blast of mana knocking him down onto the floor.

"Mother I want to be king already! Where is my Crown! I want it now! I want it Now! I want it Now!" The child spouted. This caused the knights to look at each other conflicted seeing the child having a tantrum.

"I don't know about this Sir Davis This kid is more of a brat then a king if I ever saw one," A knight whispered to another.

"Look Sir Conrad we don't have much of a choice the sorceress even said it herself. God chose... that child as the king and so it shall be beside you know their use to be... another one of us. The one that was originally in your position laughed at the idea that child being chosen as god and died having his body turned into paste. Paste I tell you! The poor man had a family. I refuse to fall under his fate. My family is my heart I would hate to see them without me. Now focus on your job," He spat.

"How can we be the knights of god if we fail to see the ploy of this foul demon. I travelled here because I believed in justice and Liberty all I see around me is corpses of innocent men, A righteous king, A tired wizard, A brat, and a wicked sorceress how can you call this righteous? How can you call this Holy?" Conrad shit back unknown to them was heard from Escanor. If he had rushed in here he would've killed them along with the sorceress he now knew where to stand.

"Sir Conrad I believe you're overstepping your opinion on this matter," A voice commanded causing Sir Conrad to pause as he turned his back to see the sorceress hands now on his shoulder slowly moving to his head.

"You will be punis-," The sorceress voiced before being wacked to the side as a force so unbelievably powerful pushed her to side. Now on her side, she struggled to get up. Frantically looking around she gazed around the room to look for the culprit only to the man who waved at her when passing.

"The only one who will be punishing will be me," Escanor announced proudly his hands crossed as he now dominated the whole room. Knights of all sorts then rushed into the room covering the back as they pointed their sword to him.

"Who are you to Hit me the messenger of God," She panicked getting up before stumbling back on the ground. She had been hit fiercely on the side.

"You breach his name only to stain it. You are no messenger of god in fact you are nothing. I will not lie in front of you. Can you not see that this woman is nothing but a foul witch. Does her aura not spout demonic? It is anything but holy. The child on that throne is nothing but a brat." Escanor preached.

"Mother why don't you just kill that man already! Kill him! Hurry up! I want to be king and have my crown!" The child shouted causing the knights to pause.

"He's right this sorceress is nothing but a sham. The child is nothing more than a brat. How can god choose a child that has never wiped his own ass?" Conrad spat.

"He speaks the truth We will not be blinded by a demon anymore that has plagued us for months! Kill the witch! She is no missionary of god!" The knights of all rushed.

Seeing the rushing Knights she quickly teleported towards her son and tried teleporting out only to be stopped by Merlin who pulled her down to the ground as Alexandria stabbed her sword through her robe pushing it down.

"You aren't going anywhere!" Merlin growled exhausted.
