25 Chapter 19 - Catch Me

I went home alone after I dropped Ynna to her condominium unit yesterday. I was so confused with my feelings. But one thing is for sure, I was happy. Who would've thought that, of all people, Ynna will be the one to bring me to the church? I never wanted to go there because I simply don't believe on it. I don't know why people go there. I don't know why people take time to pray instead of finding solutions to their own problems. I don't pray. And I never will. I find it stupid, insane and useless. Well, not until Ynna dragged me inside the church. It felt good. It felt like I missed half of my life by not trying to visit there. Suddenly, I felt loved. That's Ynna's effect on me. And I don't know if it's good or bad. Damn.

The past few days had been very confusing for me. Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I think I can kill someone. Also, sometimes, I think of only Ynna and her lips. I can spend a whole day dreaming of only kissing her. Damn! Am I that in to her? I really don't know. I have no idea. I have gotten crazy. Really crazy.

Right now, I am here at our English class. Ynna is seated beside me because we are partners on the book report activity for 'Everybody Has Secrets'. I suddenly felt guilty. I didn't help her even once on that book report. I wonder what would our grade be.

When the professor started announcing our grades, I was expecting a failing one. Coming from Ynna, of course, she always fails. We already got two zeros together at nutrition so why not make it three? She doesn't care about her studies anyway. She is rich and all. She doesn't need it. She doesn't need to impress anyone. Well, I am rich too. But unlike her, I need to do good for my father to see me. I need to impress him. I need to be the number one at all things. That way, maybe he would stop seeing only Ash and start noticing me. To cut things short, I need to be perfect.

"Fortaleza and Anderson, Perfect! Congratulations!" the professor mentioned.

Wait, what? Perfect? Me? And Ynna? 

"Perfect tayo!!!! Yey!!!" Ynna exclaimed.

Wow.

Did I just... underestimated her?

"Wow." is the only thing that went out of my mouth.

"Buong puso ko kasi iyan ginawa! Para na din makabawi ako sayo. Hehe!"

"Thanks, Ynna." I smiled a her and she blushed. So cute.

"Okay, that's it for today. Class dismissed." the professor said.

Everyone, including Ynna, is now fixing their things. It's lunch time. I hate how I wanted to take Ynna to lunch with me. But, I guess I can't. She has other plans.

"Una na ko Sky ha!" she said happily.

"Where are you going?"

"Royals room. Doon daw kami maglulunch nila Debbie at Karen." she smiled as she walked away. "Bye!"

She would rather be with those noisy girls instead of me? Tss. What a bad choice.

By this time, I know Erick and Dwight is now at the cafeteria waiting for me. But instead of going there, I decided to go to the black room. I guess I need a little time on my own. I need to think things.

The moment I opened the door, I was so shocked. No, shock isn't the word. Irritated is.

I was expecting a dark empty room but then what I saw was a crowded black room filled with really annoying people. There I saw Dwight, Erick, Chase, King, Viel, Clyde, Austin and Ash eating pizzas.

"What the hell? Why are you all here?!"

"Chill, bro, we're here for a purpose!" said Clyde.

"What purpose?" I asked blankly.

"Nandito kami para ipaintindi sayo ang feelings mo kay Ynna!" said King with glee.

THE HELL?

"What? I don't need your help! Dammit!"

"I can see that you really do love her." it's Austin. "Hindi na natin kailangan ipaintindi sa kanya. It's written all over his face. He's in love."

"Shut the fuck up. You don't know a thing, Aus."

"Pero ang swerte mo dun sa Ynna ha! Ang kinis! Ang sexy! Woot woot! Ulalam!" said Viel. Fuck!

"Don't you dare come near her, Marviel!" I shouted.

They all laughed at my reaction. Shit. I was just protecting Ynna. Viel is the biggest manwhore I've ever known. He's too dangerous.

"Dude, pizza?" asked Dwight. I believe he's trying to shift the mood.

"No."

"Bro, you should eat." said Erick. "It's lunch."

"Will you please just explain to me why are you all here?!"

They didn't answer my question. Instead, they described Ynna one by one! What the hell! Who gave them the permission to do that?!

"Ynna for me is a very sweet girl. What I don't like about her is that she is way too noisy. But all in all, I can give her a 7/10 ranking." - Chase

"She has beautiful eyes. And she has a good sense of humor. I like her. 8/10 for me." - Austin

"She has a nice smile! Gusto kong magselfie kaming dalawa balang araw! As in yung marami! Pwede rin siyang ipagmalaking girlfriend kapag wallpaper mo siya sa phone! She's too pretty! 9/10 lang because no one's perfect! Ako lang ang perfect!" - King

"Mukhang hindi siya maarte. Fortaleza siya pero mukhang down to earth naman siya. Wala siyang ere. Mukha ring magaling siya sa arts. Pwede niya akong tulungan ibraid ang buhok ko. I believe na 'click' kaming dalawa. We are meant to be! 10/10!" - Clyde

"Maganda siya kahit walang make-up! And hindi niya kailangan magsuot ng mga sexy for her to be called sexy! She is sexy and yummy in her own way! And I'd really like to try her someday. Kaya kung magbreak man sila ni Sky pagdating ng panahon, sasaluhin ko talaga agad si Ynna babes! I'm excited! New flavor! 100/10!" - Viel

WHAT THE FUCK?!

I was about to punch Viel when suddenly, I heard something worse.

"I like her. She's a wife material." said fucking Ash.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" I shouted. I have lost my patience!

I attacked Ash with a punch but before my hand hit him, Erick stopped me. Fuck!

"YNNA IS FUCKING MINE AND ALL OF YOU HAVE NO FUCKING RIGHT TO TALK ABOUT HER BEHIND HER BACK!!!"

"Calm down, Sky!" said Erick. "They're just joking!"

"BUT I AM NOT JOKING!"

"Edi lumabas din ang feelings!" it was King.

"HULI KA BALBON!" - Clyde

"Untouchable na si sexy! Nooo!" - Viel

Austin just smiled at me while Chase just tsked.

"Okay. Let's stop this." said the fucking leader and the perfect son. "We are not actually here for you and your feelings for Ynna."

"Then get the hell out. I don't need you here!"

"Not so fast little brother. We are back at ECB for three reasons. First, we are one of the judges for the upcoming pageant which I believe, you and Ynna are contestants."

They are judges? Tsk! Fuckers! But hell, I almost forgot about that stupid pageant. We haven't even practiced for that competition. Tss. I don't fucking care anyway.

"Second, right after the pageant, there will an alumni party where in we are the organizers."

I just looked at him with a bored face. The hell I care with that alumni party. I am not even an alumnus yet.

"Third, there is a special basketball game tomorrow. And we are going to compete with the new Vengeance team, which is your team."

The fuck?

"Why the hell there is a special game?!" I asked.

"It's ECB's way of thanking us for facilitating the upcoming alumni party."

"Gays."

"Man, don't tell me you're not gonna play?" asked Dwight.

"No." and I turned my back on them.

"Hindi siya maglalaro? Edi ako nalang ang mag-iinvite kay Ynna para manuod ng game! Para ako nalang yung i-cheer in Ynna! Panigurado maiinggit sa akin lahat ng guys!" - Clyde

WHAT?

"Get lost, fucker! I'll be the one to invite her!" I said as I glared at him.

"Oops. Okay. Sorry, boyfriend ka nga pala. HAHAHAHA!" - Clyde.

"Kala ko hindi ka na maglalaro?" asked Chase. He is examining me.

"Changed my mind." I blankly said.

"Ynna can really change your mind, huh?" Austin smirked.

I didn't answer him. Instead, I went to the door to go out. But before that, I heard the perfect son's voice.

"I like Ynna for you. She is the perfect wife for you. And not to anybody."

Tss. Asshole.

[Dismissal Time]

I hurriedly fixed my things and went to look for Ynna. As her boyfriend, I still need to bring her home. Even if her condominium is just a few steps away from this school. And aside from the fact that I really wanted to see her today. I also have to invite her to the basketball game tomorrow. And I, myself, has a question to ask too.

I patiently waited outside of room M309 where her last class is. Yes, I know all of her classes. I have her schedule. And she's not even aware of that. When the class ended, I didn't see any sign of Ynna. She wasn't in her class? Did she cut classes? This is a first if she did.

"Papa Sky!!! Are you waiting for me?!"

"Sky!!! You're still so hot! I'm melting!"

"Omg!!! Sky is outside our class!!! Who are you waiting?!"

"Sky!!! We are so excited to watch you tomorrow on your game!!!"

"Sky can we be lovers even just for a night?!"

I didn't mind them. Instead, I continued looking for Ynna.

"Where is Ynna?" I asked out loud at the crowd of girls surrounding me when I finally lost hope in finding Ynna in the room. All that's left are couples making out. And I'm sure that none of them was Ynna.

"She is exempted!" said a nerd girl. She looked irritated.

"What?"

"She is exempted to attend the class today because she got a perfect score at our quiz last meeting. Tinalo niya ang score ko."

"She's perfect? What subject is this?"

"Filipino."

Wow. She is perfect. I really did underestimated her. And how can I forget how good she is in that language?

"I see. Do you have any idea where she is?"

"No."

"It's fine. Thanks."

I left the nerd and started searching for Ynna at every part of ECB but she is not seen at all. I decided to go to her condominium and just wait for her to arrive.

Before I went inside Millenium Heights, that is when I saw her. She is at the playground of the condominium just outside the main entrance. She's wearing a pink blouse and beige shorts. Was she tired of going to the gym? Or swimming at the pool? Why is she here at the playground? This is for kids!

She is seated on top of the highest slide, looking far away. It seems like she is thinking deeply about something, like there is something that bothers her. Could it be possible that the almost perfect girl has problems too?

I looked at her for a minute. Damn, this gorgeous little thing has just caught my heart. I think the Vengeance boys was right. I am so into her. And there's no point of denying that I am in love with her.

"You look really cute up there." I said which made her shocked at my presence. She accidentally slided.

"ANAK NG JEJEMON, SKY NAMAN OH!"

Her butt fell off the grass which made her shorts a little dirty.

"I-I'm sorry." I said. Hey, I didn't mean for her to fall!

"B-Bakit ka nandito?"

"I was looking for you. I have to ask you something."

"Ano naman?"

I went to sit at the swing while she easily went up to the top of the monkey bars. Is she a ninja or what? How did she went up that fast?

"Why are you here?"

"Naglalaro. May problema ka dun?"

"Alone?"

"Duh?" she rolled her eyes at me. "May nakikita ka bang ibang kasama ko? May nakikita ka bang hindi ko nakikita? May third eye ka ba, Sky?"

I didn't mind her useless innocent questions. Instead, I asked her again.

"Do you usually do this?"

"Ang ano?"

"This.. playing alone."

"Oo. Namimiss ko lang maglaro. Nakakamiss maging bata."

"Haha. Yeah."

She looked at me wearing a serious face from up there and I looked back at her. We are staring at each other when someone shouted.

*BALOOOOOOOOOOOOT!*

"May balot!!!" she screamed.

She was about to go down but she got out of her balance and it made her fall...

...into my arms.

Good thing I catched her. Maybe she is a ninja, but she is never a jumper.

I looked at her scared face. She did the same to me. It's like we just continued our stares to each other but this time, a whole lot closer. We were like that for I don't know how long until someone interrupted our mini staring game.

"Uyyyy!!!!" said a little girl. She is very dirty and she's holding sampaguitas. "Mag syota po ba kayo? Ang sweet niyo naman po!"

What's syota? And where is the balot boy? Did he just left Ynna? That fucker!

Ynna stood up and glared at me before she went to the child.

"Baby girl, ano yang tinda mo?" she asked.

"Sampaguita po! Bili na po kayo!"

"Magkano ba yan lahat?"

"100 pesos lang po!"

"Sige, baby girl. Bibilhin ko na iyan lahat! Bibigyan kita nga 1000 ha. Wag mo na akong suklian. Pero promise mo si ate Ynna mo na gagamitin mo itong 1000 pesos sa mabuting paraan. Okay?"

"Opo!!! Salamat po! Ito po yung sampanguita oh!"

"Hindi na baby girl. Itinda mo nalang yan sa iba. Magkaka-100 ka pa ulit."

"Talaga po?! Salamat po!" and the dirty kid hugged Ynna.

My first instict was to save the kid from Ynna's push but then I was wrong. Because she hugged the little kid back. My mouth dropped open with what I saw. This girl is really different. All these years, the heartless bitch that I hated actually has a big heart for people in need. She is beyond amazing. That's why I can't stop myself from falling. She completely erased all the Farrah in me and replaced it with her and only her. I am so lost in her. And I am madly in love, too.

"Babay po! Sana po maging masaya kayo lagi ng boyfriend mo! Ipagdadasal ko po na hindi kayo magkahiwalay forever!!!"

Ynna just waved goodbye to her. I went close to her ear and whispered...

"Good job, saint Ynna."

"Tss. Tumulong lang ako sa nangangailangan."

"I saw that. Although I never thought in a million years that you'd do that."

"Hindi mo kasi ako kilala."

"Yeah. I guess so."

"Pero Sky, thank you sa pagsalo mo sa akin kanina. Kung wala ka, baka nabalian na ako ng buto." she blushed! I want to kiss her!

"It's my pleasure to catch you." I smiled.

She looked away.

"Sana tuwing mahuhulog ako sayo, icacatch mo ako noh?" she said while looking at the skies.

"Of course I will."

"Marami akong kasalanan. Hindi ako santa, Sky."

"For me, you are. You are actually too good to be true."

"Yun nga eh. Too good to be true. Kasi hindi naman ako 'true'."

"I can't understand you. What are you talking about? Why did you suddenly become so serious?"

"Wala. Haha. Nag-eemo lang." she said as a tear fell from her cheeks. Still not facing me.

"You are really a good actress, huh?" I smirked.

"Wala kang ideya kung gaano ako kagaling. Wala akong kupas." she smiled but I can see sadness in her eyes. Is she still on 'emo' mode? Is she still acting? Is she that good? Because she's making me believe that she really has problems.

"I believe that. Wala ka ngang kupas." I said.

"Siya nga pala, ano ba yung itatanong mo?" she asked. She's now looking at me.

"Ah, yeah. We have a basketball game tomorrow. We are competing the team of Ash."

"Si Ash?" her eyes widened. Fuck. Why did I even mention his name?

"Yeah, and I am inviting you to watch and cheer for MY team. Especially for me. Cheer for only me, will you?"

"Umm. Sige." she nodded.

I went near her until our faces are just inches apart. I pulled her back for her not to step back.

"You are my girlfriend. You have to cheer for me. Don't ever put your eyes to other guys. Especially to Ash."

"Contract girlfriend mo lang ako."

"Kahit na."

"Okay bossing." she said with a smile that made me melt. Oh! This girl and her effects!

I just smiled back as I released her from my grip. I was about to leave when it suddenly hit me. I haven't asked her yet what I was dying to ask her the past few days from now.

"Ynna." I started.

"Oh? Kala ko ba aalis ka na?"

"I have another question."

"Ano? Dali at uulan na yata!"

"W-What if..." Fuck! Why am I stuttering again?!

"Ano? Bilis! May ambon na!"

Breathe in. Breathe out.

You can do it, Sky.

1... 2... 3...

"What if we just break the contract?" I closed my eyes while asking. 

And for the first time in my life, I prayed.

I prayed to God that this girl in front of me would say yes.

Please say yes, Ynna. Please say yes.
