Chapter 35 - Two Men

Tim rested in his room for a while. It is implied with arriving later that he just landed in Shanghai. However, he actually meant going to her room later. Some how he felt a bit disappointed with that lie rom Lissy because he was in the hotel and he knew she was out. Her forgetting about the flowers and champagne is just icing on the issue. He must give her the benefit of the doubt.

Lissy quickly freshened up she must be prepared when Tim arrives. Her guess is that Tim would be staying for the weekend and fly by Sunday. The plans she had with CEO of Xin Technologies has to be rearranged. She worked hard to receive the CEO attention and she does not want all the effort to go in vain.

After about 3 hours, Lissy's phone in the room rang.

"Hello?"

"Hello Miss Mendoza, you have a guest looking for you at the reception. Will you go down to meet him or do you wish to send the guest to your room?"

"Kindly send the guest to my room." Receiving that message earlier Lissy is expecting Tim's arrival.

"Thank you, Miss Mendoza."

Lissy was wearing knitted peach blouse and cropped powder blue pants making her look young and relaxed. She went in front of the mirror to give one final check on how she looked. The in-room phone once again rang.

"Hello?"

"Hi Honey!" The voice was sunny.

"Tim, Honey…" she was not able to complete what she needs to say when the doorbell of the room sounded.

Tim could clearly hear it form the other line.

"Did you get room service? I just checked in. I am heading your room."

"No, hold on, wait, don't hang up."

Tim felt something is wrong this is the first time he is hearing Lissy rattled speaking in staccato. He obediently stayed on the line.

When Lissy opened the door to her surprise, it was Li Bin. The guy is in cream shorts, white shirt under light blue jacket.

"Mr. Li, sorry I did not know it was you that reception is sending over. I was expecting for a guest."

Li Bin is an educated second-generation Chinese who studied abroad and has returned to the country to be next in line with their business but is also running his own start up. He is a gentleman. Understanding what Lissy meant he did not insist on going inside and instead said, "Oh, I am surprised too, never mind. I just passed by without thinking so much about it."

"Let me send you out. I am truly sorry you had to go all the way up."

"No, it's fine. My bad. I should have messaged you. I will catch up with you on Monday then."

"Sure, see you on Monday." Lissy's heart felt warm with such gesture from Mr. Li. He is one of the rising young entrepreneurs in Shanghai, but he is humble. She almost forgot about Tim who is in the other line. She ran towards the phone.

"Honey, I am sorry to keep you waiting. I will wait for you. There was a misunderstanding with the reception."

"Okay be there in a minute." Tim could barely hear their conversation, but he is sure there was a guy.

In just one doorbell, Lissy quickly opened the door and welcomed Tim with a hug. He carried her forward and closed the door. That hug suddenly cleared the blue skies.

"Honey I miss you!" Tim slowly bent down to kiss her lips. As the kiss deepened, he stirred her towards the bed while sucking her lips. Tim is all heated up. With two three taps on his back he came back to reality.

Gasping for breath, "I miss you too. I thought the weekend visit was just a joke."

"I can't wait to see you anymore Honey." The sight of the flowers and champagne made him smile. While looking at the flowers he said, "Did you like it?"

"What?" Lissy followed to where his eyes were gazing at. "Oh, so you are the ones who sent those flowers and champagne." There was a hint of disappointment in her eyes which the voice has covered immediately. "I love it!"

Tim was thinking if he saw it right but then brushed it off.

"Are we drinking this later?" She asked sweetly.

The plan is to have it yesterday when she arrives. Tim was not prepared for any back up and just said, "yup." If timing is right, then tonight could be the big night.

While are making up for the lost moments while Lissy in Shanghai, Pam reluctantly went out with Dindin. She was feeling under the weather. It did not help that she learned about her misunderstanding Tim. Although she always says past is past, everything is just piling in her mind. She did well in her studies and at work how come she makes bad decisions in her life. While her mom learning about her unwanted pregnancy leading to her death was one of the biggest mistakes and regrets, she had in her life, now she is thinking. What if…. What if she took the courage to confront Tim. What if she gave him a chance to explain? Will her path change? Could her mother be still alive today? Could she be happy with Tim still? Pam's emotions and feelings is making her mind drift.

"Pam... Pam…" Dindin called her out. Knowing Pam's situation, she is probably having unhappy thoughts. Her mom told her to help cheer her up.

Pam returning back to her senses, "sorry…where you saying something?"

Dindin smiled back, she was talking nonstop about the current fashion trend and how she wanted to try a new haircut. Instead she asked," do you want to try going at the Game zone?"

Trying to sound interested she happily agreed. Although Game zone is a place for young ones to play, even adults have fun in this place. There were lots of game machine both electronic and physical ones to choose, there are even small rooms for singing. Although she was reluctant initially, she ended up enjoying having fun. For a while she forgot the things that are bugging her mind.
