CHAPTER 10: TONY'S PLACE

CADENCE

I am not conscious person with the way I wear with my clothes. But Jaron was with me in my room it was big deal.

'Why? What's wrong, Cadence? You were being too obvious that you just want Jaron to notice. Well, it just that it was new to me that he complemented that I am sexy. Ha-ha...'

I was talking my mind as we rode. Stupid me!

I do not know why I am nervous when we enter the house of Tony. It was unexpected to see Tony's house. There are rich family to be exact. It was huge house actually. That is why all of the senior students are there having fun. I looked around looking for my friends but I could see Ashley walking towards us.

"Hi Jaron, what took you so long? I have been waiting for you." She said as she wrapped her arms around his arms. And she even ignores me as if I was not there.

Jaron did not response but Ashley was not stupid. She pulled Jaron away from me to the crowd that he could not say a word.

Luckily, my friends arrived just in time Jaron was nowhere in sight.

"Wow as in wow. I cannot believe it is you, Cad." Donna said with amused.

"Well, Jaron picked this for me when he knew I cannot decide what to wear." I confessed.

"Speaking of him, where the hell is he?" Clare asked turning around her eyes for him.

"As always Ashley grabbed him away from me. What is new about that b***?" I did not finish the word.

I know I do not have right to complain since he is just a friend, neighbor and classmate to me. In other words, it is not my business. But my heart is not cooperating.

"Yeah, right. She is always jealous of you as in to the max." Donna said. "Come on, let us enjoy this party." She pulled us to inside.

Tony, the celebrant came to us as soon as he spotted me inside the crowd. Yes, it is his birthday. I just thought it is just a random party just like any other senior students in our school.

"Hi, girls. Thank you for coming." He smiled to us but focus on Clare. I can sense that he likes her because since he became Jaron's friend, he keeps his eyes on her. He never comes nearer to us before.

"Happy birthday Tony! I greeted him. "Gosh I did not know it is your day I thought just some kind of party night. I did not even bring you present."

"Nah, it is okay. But thank you anyway, I hope you girls enjoy my party and here's some drink for the three of you." Just when I saw, he was holding three glasses in his hands. I actually hesitate to get his offer.

"Hey, do not worries these drinks are safe no drugs or what so ever. I put it myself and trust me on this I do not let you people put some troubles. I promise." We looked at him and saw that he is sincere and from there we grabbed it from him.

We joined him dancing in the crowd and there I feel like someone was staring at me. I looked at the couch and saw Jaron looking at me. While Ashley was busy chatting with her friends but her arms still at him.

I smiled shyly and looked away continued dancing with my friends. Tony brought us drinks again. It is truth it is just plain alcohol without something on it. But I started heated. I am not fond of alcohol. But since it is his birthday and having fun that is what they told me tonight so it is exemptional.

I am having fun dancing which is unusual to me. Maybe because of the alcohol intake and I carried away swaying my hips in a good way. The music was change into a remix tunes the Despacito followed by Senorita by Camila Cabello. I love both songs that I cannot resist not to dance.

My friends knew I love dancing but I am not very showy. But since my body is burning hot. It gave me more courage to show want I got.

A pair of hands were at my waist joining me swaying. When I turned around it was Jaron. We both continued swaying our hips as if it is just the two of us.

Well, it is the two of us in the center. The crowd were going crazy with the way we dance. I did not expect that he was awesome in dancing too as it is magical. We click together, sway together.

I feel like we were in a movie Dirty Dancing part. That the two people were dancing with their hearts looking in love.

The song ends and I need to get some refreshment. I want to get away from him as much as possible right now. Everything was unexpected. I did even not know it affect me that much.

I did not say a word I left without telling him. Walking towards the kitchen to grab some cold water. I was expecting that he will leave me alone but that was I thought.

I was in front of the beverages when I feel someone behind. He even put his hands on my waist. So close behind.

"I did not know you were excellent dancer." I got alert as I turn around and it was not Jaron. Someone I am not familiar with.

"Hey!" Jaron tapped the guy's shoulder. "She is with me buddy." He said calmly.

Luckily, Jaron came just in time. I can smell the guy's alcohol intake. He left right away after that. I sighed heavily.

"You should not walk away from me like that, Cadence." He reminded me. "Not all people here were from our school."

"Sorry, I got thirsty." I apologized. He stared at me and I stared back.

He sighed. "Okay, you are forgiven. Do not do that again from now on." He paused. "And in the future, you should stay alert all the time."

"Got it, boss." I grinned, making a salute.

"Silly girl!" He pinched my cheek a little bit harder. "Come out, we need to have fun."

"Ouch!" I slapped his hand. "That hurt." Pouting my lips and rolling my eyes.
