I'm a christian so i can say this. The prodigal son story was a good lesson for forgiveness and compassion but lack of fairness. It was irritating to see your so called brother, who been nothing but trouble, was given a feast and praised for his bad decisions while the older one, who worked so hard to be a good son, only to receive a word of praise. Sure at that time if could be considered as a reward. But applying it in the real world, it would be different.
