26 Yuba

Rainbase was one of the few cities within Alabasta that continued thriving even during the drought, mostly due to the gambling industry. It was also the main base of a secret organization called Baroque Works.

In a Casino were all the agents of this mysterious organization. Today was the day the members finally saw Zero for the first time. He was the mysterious boss they followed.

Crocodile sat on a table with his agents. In front of him was Miss Double Finger, Mr. 1, Mr. 4, and Ms. Merry Christmas.

Where was the rest of his crew?

Crocodile had a bad feeling. He couldn't contact Miss All Sunday and all of his other agents vanished in the last couple of days. He wanted to finish his scheme and create his 'Utopia', but without Nico Robin, his whole scheme could only fail.

Two people entered the room at this moment. Those two were the one Crocodile searched for. Miss All Sunday and Mr. 2.

Crocodile looked at them with an angry expression.

"Where were you all this time?", he said while gritting his teeth.

"We are in trouble, Zero.", Miss All Sunday answered.

Crocodile frowned.

"Vivi, the princess of Alabasta, infiltrated our organization. She made allies when she went away from this island. Now she came back with them and they agreed to help her. I was kidnapped by them and could only escape because of Mr. 2's Devil Fruit power."

Mr. 2 nodded towards her statement.

"Who is that strange group that wants to help Vivi?"

"The Revolutionary Army!"

Crocodile frowned and took a deep breath. He had many possible enemies in his mind, but he never thought about the Revolutionary Army that was led by the most wanted man in the world.

"It is a secret group that acts independently, but Miss All Sunday heard a conversation between them while she was imprisoned. They are working for Monkey D. Dragon!"

Crocodile punched the table and destroyed it. He was in the final step of his plan, how could such an enemy appear out of nowhere?

"Is Dragon with them? Are there some of the known commanders of the Revolutionary Army with them?"

Mr. 2 shook his head.

"They all aren't known to the public. I don't think a commander is with them. What I can tell you is that some of them are strong. I could only rescue Miss All Sunday because my Devil Fruit is perfect for infiltration. We have to be careful, boss."

Crocodile was silent for a long time. He hated the Revolutionary Army. He encountered once an Okama that he never wanted to see in his life again.

In the manga, he underestimated the Straw Hat Pirates because they were just a young bunch that started their journey. He would never underestimate the Revolutionary Army, that would be stupid.

"We will finish what we started here. We can't back off now. Where are those guys at the moment?"

"I think they first wanted to go to Yuba."

"Vivi wants to stop the rebellion. We can't let her go to Koza. I have to take part in this fight. Even if they have someone strong with them, do they think they can defeat me in a desert?"

Nico Robin looked at her former boss and frowned. She didn't understand why Luffy sent them here to tell the Warlord a lie. They could just attack without him even knowing they were here. But now Crocodile was aware that a powerful enemy was after him and would prepare himself. It seemed that Luffy tried everything to make the life of his crew more difficult.

"It's too hot.", Sanji sighed.

They all heard that Baccarat started to laugh. She smiled charmingly and ran towards the crew. "I found water! Follow me!"

The crew followed her and found a little oasis.

"This doesn't make sense! How can this oasis be here in the middle of this hot desert?", Vivi asked. She was shocked. Her father searched every place in this land for water but they never found this oasis. Water was the most precious thing in her kingdom.

"I was just lucky. Let's take a bath!"

Vivi remembered the location of this oasis, this could become a village in the future. After they all took a bath, they continued their journey. They encountered huge lizards and birds that tried to steal their luggage, but they all were defeated.

"I have my mission and I don't want to walk through this desert anymore. I will see you guys later", Ain said and jumped to the sky. After that, the crew saw something that shocked them. Ain could fly? It looked like she walked on air and after a couple of seconds, she was gone.

"Well, Hina has her mission, too. I wish you good luck"

Hina did the same thing that Ain did. She started to jump to the sky and flew away.

"How can they fly?"

"It's a special marine technique, but I didn't know those two could use them", Baccarat explained.

The crew finally arrived in Yuba and the first thing that greeted them was a sandstorm. The crew was lucky because they had the Goddess of Storms in their crew, so within a minute she took care of that.

The crew looked towards Yuba with a frown. In front of them stood a Kung-Fu Dugong and this guy had a guitar in his hands. After that, he started to play the guitar. They heard the strange song they heard a while ago...

"I want to be the very best,

Like no one ever was.

To train them is my cause!

The ones who were singing this song were Alvida, Ace, Chopper, and Luffy. The Kung-Fu Dugongs were responsible for the instruments.

After that, the crew saw another strange scene. Luffy and the Dugong's had shovels in their hands and they started to free Yuba from the sand.

"Guys, I decided that we make a river around this village!", Luffy said.

After that, the Dugong's started to prepare the river and dug the sand away from the village. Luffy summoned Gyarados and Chansey.

Gyarados used his move 'Water Gun' and started to fill the holes with water. It didn't even take an hour before this abandoned village was surrounded by a river. It looked like a paradise in the middle of the desert.

The crew saw an old man who looked at this and started to cry. "Is this group send by God? What are those creatures? This is a miracle! Finally, the village entrusted to me by his majesty... can thrive again!"

Luffy saw his crew and looked confused.

"What are you guys doing here? I thought you wanted to stop the rebellion."

The crew looked towards their captain with a frown.

"The main base for the rebellion should be in Yuba... Why is nobody here? What happened to Yuba?", Vivi asked.

Luffy sighed in disappointment. "I trained you guys, didn't I? Some of you can use Observation Haki. The first thing you guys should do is check your surroundings with this ability! But you just followed Vivi to this place without using your Haki! Stupid!"

The crew looked embarrassed. They were sure that Ain and Hina knew that their journey to this village was pointless, so they decided to escape.

The old man walked towards Luffy and bowed to him. "Thank you, young man. Thank you for everything you did for my village!"

Luffy laughed. "Don't worry, old man. I and my buddies will help to make your village into a tourist attraction! Come on, my friends. Let's continue with our project!"

He looked towards his crew and laughed.

"See you later, guys! Don't worry Vivi, after I'm finished with your land you won't recognize it anymore!"

The Kung-Fu Dugongs cheered and started to dig more holes into the sand.

The old man looked towards the blue-haired girl in shock.

"Vivi? Princess Vivi? Ah, you don't recognize me because I lost too much weight... It's me, Toto!"

Vivi looked towards the old man. She had tears in her eyes. He was the father of her childhood friend Koza!

After that, the crew stayed in Yuba for the night and then they left for Katorea. This was the new main base of the Rebels.

After the crew left, Alvida appeared in front of Luffy. Her job was to run with the egg in her hand.

"Luffy, the egg... it will hatch at any moment!"

The group gathered in front of the egg with a smile on their face. They were excited to see who their new friend would be!
