Ch. 1.9 Did you do something?

"Do you want to come up? I'll cook dinner for the two of us." kaidan invited the man. He doesn't want to eat alone. It is lonely.. His house is lonely.

"Sure." before exiting the car. For many days, he keep on demanding his home cooked food to kaidan.

The two are in the parking lot, James volunteers to send him home again. His driver licence is still on process due to him not updating it.

"Could you cook me some bacon and eggs, with sausages also... I want a full English breakfast except the beans." James requested when they enter the penthouse making kaidan raise his eyebrows. The man wants a breakfast meal for dinner?. He eyed him in a judging manner.

"Don't look at me like that, I did not kill anybody. I just want a breakfast meal and I'm telling you, it's not a sin." James quickly defend himself. He really like eating breakfast on dinner. Besides who doesn't want a bacon.

"I did not say anything." before putting his arms up as a surrender. He is just surprised that James have such food habits. James look like a man who eats expensive food everytime.

"Just stay here and watch the TV or something, I'll whip a full English breakfast for the two of us in a jiffy." before gesturing the remote panel attached to the center table.

"okay." before quickly sitting down, he catch up some of his work while waiting for the food to be done.

After an hour, the two is eating their meal while watching sit-coms. Laughing and making fun with each others. They didn't laugh like this for a year now, obligations, responsibilities and work become their daily routine that they even forget to laugh and have fun.

James stayed at kaidan's house for two hours before deciding to call it a night. He has to go home to pack his baggage for his business trip tomorrow. Kaidan decided to follow and send him down.

"Good night. Go up now and this time, please do sleep on time okay. The older man reminded kaidan in a serious manner earning a nod to the younger man leaning beside the elevator.

" Yes boss." Kaidan tease him before smiling, opening the elevator to the first floor. The receptionist called him that his package arrived while he is not home making them receive the package on the process.

"Good night, drive safe." Kaidan says before the elevator close.

"Thank you so much for getting my package for me." kaidan thanks the receptionist before going towards the elevator.

"We meet again kaidan." a voice says to his back making him face the person.

"Yes, long time no see miles." kaidan spat out. Looking at this man's face really infuriates him.

"How are you?" miles ask looking like he is talking to his long lost acquaintance. He is even wearing a warm smile making kaidan's hand itching to slap his shameless face.

"Never been better." kaidan nonchalant reply, this man is so hypocrite, he wants to kill him but he is here starting conversations with him. "How about you? I heard you already had a son, Two and six months of age." emphasising the boys age, the scandal happen two years ago so by emphasising the age he can say that the man is cheating him with saying the word.

Miles smiles froze when he heard him say the age of his son. Nobody knows the true age of him besides his family and Anna's family. He knows that if the press caught wind of this fact, they would right that he is the one who first starts cheating.

"everything is good, I'm getting married this coming year, How is James? Is he still with you?" miles questioned back. He is the interrogator, he is the superior on this battle of words and wits.

"Yeah, he is the one helping me out. He is a terrific partner who would always put me first before anything else. The best boyfriend I had so far." hearing kaidan's word, miles mouth twitch but he avoid on commenting.

"Kaidan, why are you back?" miles ask cutting their fake polite conversation.

"Why would I not be back?" Kaidan questions back before smiling.

"Are you not afraid that people would judge you again?"

"No, I didn't do anything wrong. Why the sudden concern? Do you have something to say?"

"I'm just concern about your mental health.." he says before looking at anything but kaidan's eye.

"Well, I'm back and I want to re-open my case, I have the doctors physical examination. I'm a victim yet you accuse me of cheating. I'm asking you, why did you do it?"

"because.. I'm.. I'm angry at that time, and the press even arrived making me lost my head."

Miles stuttered. He is nervous while talking to kaidan, he really regrets on starting the conversation now he doesn't know how to extricate himself. He just want to annoy and make kaidan angry yet he outsmart him, he forgot how smart this man is.

"Do you know something?" he questions before inclining his face in a questioning manner.

"No, I'm just as innocent as you, Good luck in clearing your reputation, I hope the person who stage the rape would be quickly get caught." miles nearly slipped out. He is not supposed to say the rapist because nobody knows it beside him and Anna.

"Rape? What rape? And what staging?" come kaidan's curious question.

"Nothing, I'll really should be going now, my washer is on, I'll just catch up with you another time okay." before he briskly walk to the elevator.

"Miles!." kaidan shout to the man making him face him. He is now in the private elevator but he wants to leave some words to the bastard.

"I will never stop until I found out the mastermind. I will make sure that the culprit would not have a good life." he says before the door of his elevator closes leaving a paled fear stricken face of Miles. Ah, he really like messing with this man.
