82 Converting Wimpod

The next morning Austin tried to think of methods that would help in taming adamant nature Pokemon. The closest he could think of was getting a gym badge, like in games in which makes traded Pokemon listen to trainers for a set level. Too bad the world has changed for shit, gym battles are useless.

There are also many things that the game doesn't cover. Using game logic for reality is also absurd. Austin began to think of the anime. Aura was one of the ways people could communicate to Pokemon. Another method could be like ash and his Charzard.

His charizard got in harms way and then ash saved it to gain its loyalty. The same thing happened with pikachu. The problem was the current world is too dangerous. Austin honestly didn't want to put himself in a stupid situation. For all he knew, he is just a normal guy without any plot armor. He just used the knowledge he had from earth and his wits to live well in the world.

While he was contemplating, the door bell rang. Austin open the door and saw his Instructor Chuck Norris.

"How are you teacher? Please come in I want to show you my improvements." Austin said.

"Good morning kid. I'm looking forward to see the results of your training. If you truly mastered focus energy, I will start phase two of your training." Norris said as he walked in. Austin was his brightest pupil. He was very satisfied with his progress.

Thanks to Austin's referring his book he made a lot of money. He wanted to open a Dojo to teach the new generation.

As he entered he felt Austin had something bothering him. "Hey kid, what's the matter? You seem annoyed about something. Tell me I might be able to help you."

"It was that obvious, well the truth is that I'm having trouble with a new Pokemon. I bought a wimpod recently and everything about it is amazing except it's nature. Its too stubborn. I was think of different ways to make it more loyal. It doesn't listen to any orders but it has high potential." Austin blurted out.

"You actually bought that wimpy thing. They are the cowards of the Pokemon world. I can't believe you thought it was special." Old Chuck said with annoyance.

Austin showed the stats of wimpod to the old man. Filled with new vigor, Instructor Norris rapidly stood up and grabbed Austin's hands.

"Kid this is not a wimpod, this is undying meatshield. You actually found such a strange critter.... Your only issue is that it won't listen to your orders." Old man Chuck calmed down and began discuss with Austin.

"Ya old man, that's the only issue. You sure easy to surprise. You should try not to get too excited or else you'll get a heart attack." Austin expressionlessly said.

"Shut up kid! Who doesn't get excited when they see a rare thing. To think a wimpod would mutate like this. Once it evolves you will have a very strong body guard. When you later begin learning about Pokemon formations, you will realize how strong of an addition this Pokemon is to your team.

Anyway kid if you can learn endure I have a way for you to make this Pokemon loyal. Let go outside to the training field." Norris then walked out with Austin following.

Austin felt that Norris wanted him to be dumb like ash and put himself in harms way. As they made their way towards the training area, Austin felt that this was the quickest way to gain a Pokémon's loyalty. Their were other methods but it would take too much time. If Austin was able to tame wimpod quickly, then it won't fall behind the rest of his Pokemon.

The biggest problem with taking his time to tame it, is that it would waste valuable time that can be used to help wimpod grow.

"Listen here kid show me your level. Last week you pretty much mastered the second stage. Now, Focus your energy!" Old man Chuck Norris quickly got into his teacher role.

Austin instantly gathered his energy and focused it on his chest. He then focused on shifting the energy to his right hand. A minute later the energy gathered to his right hand. His hand began to emit an energy that surrounded it. A pressure also emerged from the energy. After 20 seconds Austin canceled the technique. He was sweating and breathing very hard.

"Excellent you actually standing firmly and the beginning stage of the last level of focus energy. You should have it mastered in two weeks.

Now I'm going to teach you endure and then you will save wimpod with your body. There is a big chance for this to work. Wimpod by nature are dumb and cowards. This one is only a bit smarter due to it being shiny. Once you save it, this wimpod will be loyal to you.

Let begin!" Norris congratulated Austin and began explaining how to use endure.

Instead of focusing the energy only on a part of his body, he had to cover his entire body. On his first attempt, Austin's skin tightened and slowly began to flush. Austin quickly canceled the technique to catch his breath.

"No kid you need to regulate your breathing. Then you only have to use the energy to tighten the body for a moment. Once your attacked any damage would be lowered significantly. It will also be very difficult for you to die in one hit.

Now tighten you body again. This time tighten to your limit then immediately cancel the Art. After catching your breath do it again. In a couple of hours you should be able to execute the move instantly. Then we'll go to the forest." Instructor Norris instructed.

Several hours past, Austin and wimpod were walking in the forest. As expected by Norris, wimpod stuck close to him even though it would not listen. It seemed that it had become depended on him since he fed it the entire day yesterday and most of the morning. He also provided it a safe place to stay.

Wimpod was actually pretty cranky about leaving it safe haven. It didn't wanna walk in the wild to hunt and get stronger.

As they were walking suddenly a huge shadow covered Austin and wimpod. It was a giant panda colored bear. It was pangoro. Seeing this Pokemon and the pressure it emitted. Wimpod froze.

"Wimpod hurry let's go. It's not as fast as we are." Austin yelled. He moved a bit away but saw that wimpod didn't follow.

The little critter froze still from fear. It never felt an aura so scary. Looking at the small creature block it's path, Pangoro roared. Then it punched down towards wimpod.

Wimpod thought that it was going to die. It was also abandoned by its trainer. Just like how its family shunned it. As the punch got closer wimpod was suddenly grabbed by Austin. He quickly used endure as he jumped and grabbed wimpod.

Austin was hit and flew towards a tree. He turned around and let his back hit against the tree. The punch was very heavy even with his endure. Austin coughed some blood.

"Hey little buddy. Why didn't you run! Even to the end you still ignored my orders. It doesn't matter though, your safe now." Austin spoke slowly. He was hurt even though this was an act. Looks like Norris was serous about having him test the move.

Wimpod began to struggle and broke feee from Austin's hold. It knew Austin came back to protect it. It felt guilty for ignoring him. Maybe if it trained a bit to be stronger like Sylveon, it might have had some strength to resist.

It stayed infront of Austin and hissed(or what ever this term is for bugs) at the pangoro. The pangoro roared back but the little guy didn't back away. It kept roaring back trying to scare the beast. Pangoro suddenly gazed behind it and ran away. Sylveon appeared from the bushes. Seeing wimpod protecting Austin, Sylveon knew that the plan worked.

Wimpod noticed Sylveon come to the rescue. It roared happily but a fire was ignited to become as strong as her.

Austin took a potion and after healing a bit he walked back to the city. He knew he won wimpod over. As he got close he recalled all his Pokemon. Instructor chuck Norris appeared with a smile.

"See kid I told you it will work. You need to understand the commonality within a species to hatch something like this. You endure is great. According to pangoro you were able to withstand five percent of its strength. That pretty high for only reaching initial mastery.

Once you fully master both skills, I will teach you the rest. Tomorrow I will add close combat training for you. This will come in handy when fighting other humans."

"You know that freaking hurt old man. I will sue you when we get back." Austin threatened.

"Calm down kid, you only coughed a little blood. What are you being a baby for. " Norris said not caring about Austin's threat.

"Haaaaa! Fine let's go back I wanna eat. This is the last time I try taking a stubborn Pokemon." Austin said.

The both of them returned back to the city and began to eat in a restaurant.
