9. Shooting

"Okay, go sign the contract with your agent first. Just follow what we agreed on. Don't think 50,000 US dollars is too little."

Terence Chang watched Rowan chatting with the two protagonists for a while, patted him on the shoulder and said, Rowan nodded quickly, he was already very happy to get this role.

He doesn't care much about money as he knew that he won't earn big from the start and he has almost 500 grand left by the compensation of his parents accident not including the 100 grand he got for signing the publishing contract for his book.

And most importantly, he has taken the first step in the plan, and the subsequent plans can be run relatively smoothly. He did not leave immediately. After saying sorry to Nicolas Cage and John Travolta, he solemnly came to John Woo.

John Woo nodded with a smile on his face and said iin a calm tone "Well, you're doing well. Report to the crew on January 16th. There is still some training to be done."

Rowan naturally nodded obediently. For those who are willing to help the younger generation and do not ask for anything in return, Rowan has always been very respectful. He nodded quickly and said

"I will definitely report on tiime."

Rowan then walked out of the audition room and immediately saw Mary and Sarah standing at the door, waiting quietly.

Two blonde hair beauty's, standing quietly at the door, naturally attracted the attention of people coming and going in Paramount

Studios.

Mary Acker raised her head, a hint of joy flashed in the corners of her eyes. After

glancing at Rowan, she said softly: "Well done, we got the role, but this is just the first step. Let's sign the contract first avoid any complications."

Rowan nodded quickly, and had a new feeling about Mary's methods and

abilities. She made suggestions based

on her previous analysis of Martin Lawrence, the design of his own movements, and the shortcomings and deficiencies she had pointed out during practice of the performance.

All of this fully demonstrates the beautiful agent's strong vision and precise analytical ability.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but wonder, "Oh? Could it be that the crew will go back on their word?"

"This is not uncommon. Even signing a contract may not guarantee safety. This is how Hollywood works. There are many people who will do anything to get a role or resources. We are no exception!"

Mary walked towards the crew's management room skillfully, and it was obvious she was very familiar with this place.

Because Terence Chang had given notice in advance, the crew had already prepared the contract. Mary filled in Rowan's information and quickly settled all the matters.

Then she turned around and said to Rowan: "Do you want me to take you back? I have something else I want to tell you."

Rowan thought it was something about the book so he nodded his head and followed her.

It wasn't much as he guessed it was regarding his book that was going to publish on 1st February and the fact that he doesn't need to go and act the small role in the series 'Everybody loves Raymond'. Rowan decided to keep his identity hidden about the author of the book for the time being and ask Mary to deal with anyone who comes for movie rights of the book.

Soon, Rowan felI into a new round of thinking. Gettting the role did not mean that he could sit back and relax. He had to find a way to use the advantages of this role to improve his status in the hearts of Terence Chang and John Wu as much as possible.

Before John Woo filmed "Windtalkers", he can hold on to this great director's thigh a little tighter.

Of course, Rowan would not just do this, and he quickly began to browse the film about himself replacing the role of the drug lord's brother originally played by Nicolas Cage then Travolta.

At the beginning, Rowan did feel a little confused, because as far as he could remember, the character Sean Trice had never appeaired in the movie "Face/Off"

However, Rowan thought about it and understood why.The role of Nicolas Cage's younger brother always seemed a little awkward, and it was obviously specially cut to highlight the importance of the two leading actors, which also made this role redundant.

However, Rowan knew very well that only by performing better could he avoid repeating the mistake of that actor. How to make the director and producer reluctant to cut his scenes is a compulsory lesson for every actor.

Thinking of this, Rowan couldn't help but start to continue his research. Especially after getting the detailed script, he began to compare and demonstrate all the scenes in which he appeared in his mind one by one.

Then he began to prepare carefully

in front of the mirror. His literary acting

skills were a little weak, but although

this was a commercial blockbuster, he

could not slack off on his own demands. Even those vase actors criticized by film critics had their unique interpretation abilities.

Otherwise, how could they get hundreds of millions of US dollars? In Hollywood, hard work and dedication may not always pay off!

Moreover with his dream dungeon he should be able to understand the charector better.

It's no joke to have thousands of troops crossing a single-plank bridge!

However, there will be no rewards without hard work, just like this time, if Rowan did not take the risk to perform difficult actions, how could he impress John Woo and David Permut.

How could he snatch this role away from Martin Lawrence, who was obviously more famous than him?

Don't look for trouble, but don't be

afraid of struggle! This is one of the rules of survival in Hollywood!

That night Rowan slept and entered the Dream Dungeon of Sean Trice and followed the storyline to feel everything Sean would, Rowan was sure that he will not take more than 10 NGs at most for a hard seen and clear most seena in a single take after clearing the dungeon.

January 16, 1997. Paramount Studios soundstage

Out of respect, Mary waited at the door early in the morning. When she saw Rowan was driving a 1969 Dodge Charger, which from the looks of it he clearly picked from a second hand shop, she waved at him and asked "Did you waste too much for buying this?"

"Not much, $10,000. It was a steal for me and I will change the engine after I find some more parts I want to add but till then I am happy with it."

Mary nodded her and and said, "Let's go. Sarah will take you to the dressing room."

"This way, Rowan, come quickly, your assistant is here." Sarah waved at Rowan, which attracted the attention of many actors

around her, and whispers echoed.

"Hey, did you see that? That guy is Rowan, who beat Martin Lawrence and got the role of Sean Trice. I heard he knows many martial arts."

"No way, I thought he got in because of Director John Woo's relationship?"

"Don't you think about it? This is a crew with an investment of 80 million US dollars. Although Director John Woo is very capable, he willl definitely be restricted by the producer."

"That's right, no one dares to joke about such a high investment, but this guy has such an important role in his first role, it's really enviable!"

"Alas, there is nothing we can do. He is already beyond our level. I heard that his agency is a new company. Should we give it a try? The development potential and resources of this new company must not be

underestimated."

The sound of discussion was loud, but Rowan was thick-skinned and had

more than enough experience, from his past life so he didn't pay attention to the gazes and the sound of discussions.

Milan looked at Rowan quietly, silently admiring the young man who was reading the script. His face was very handsome, but it revealed masculinity and determination.

She has worked in Hollywood for 20 years and is a professional makeup artist who specializes in working with Paramount's crews. She has met and worked with all kinds of actors and stars.

But it is quite rare for someone like Rowan to have such an important role in his first role and appear quite mature at such a young age.

She couldn't help but have a premonition in her heart, will this young man soar to the sky? Then she shook her head again. There are many geniuses in Hollywood, and many of them will soon disappear like a shooting star after they succeed.

How many people can stand out from thousands of actors and become a superstar like Tom Hanks?

She carefully drew thick eyebrows

for Rowan, then applied a layer of gray primer on his fair face, and then carefully applied another layer of makeup.

Rowan couldn't help but sigh at the itchy feeling, but he forced himself not to touch it and concentrated on reading his script.

A female assistant in her twenties walked in from outside and shouted to Rowan,"Hey, Rowan, the director is calling you."

Rowan quickly put down the script and stood up. Milan was slightly stunned because he straightened his clothes and looked at his face, which gradually became

gloomy and cold. She didn't even notice

when Rowan left.
