Character development is a very important part of many stories and i agree with the author taking the character development a bit slowly as in many stories I've seen the protagonist suddenly becoming badass and cold-hearted. Also, in many of the other stories I've read the protagonist would most probably take revenge for any kind of betrayal he/she has faces... Logically speaking, no one can change within a day. Changes need time... Jinhee was still young when she died so it's normal for her to still hold on to those memories and feelings 乁( . ര ʖ̯ ര . )ㄏ

I think Tahee is actually a male and that to our second ML and he is disguise as female so he can come closer to her and know her better and i think he is the one for whom the birthday banquet was for

They know each other for atmost few month ( in this life), FL never show any kind of friendship towards taehee, got abducted and she react so midly so either the FL is dumb and weak minded or i'm heartless.

tahee goes between he and she. so does this story have a magic element with them shifting between genders? Or are they a he pretending to be a she? is that the gender bender part? are they the second ML? Or they the first ML that the MC will end up with and the ex Boyf that is now into her the 2nd ML?
