Walking inside a convenience store, Alfred's eyes wandered around the racks, speculating what the heck he would buy. He muttered, "Chocolate for the kids."
After filling a small basket with chocolates, he walked up to the counter where Samantha was piling cigarettes.
Alfred cleared his throat and the second Samantha turned, he said, "Well… What a coincidence. We meet again. I was about to call you and have you take responsibility for ruining my suit."
Samantha's mouth formed round. She took a step back, thinking she might as well run away rather than pay 2,000 USD. She barely made enough for herself, working in the convenience store.
Since Alfred had not contacted her for over two weeks, she thought she was off the hook.
"Look, Mr. I - I am sorry about what happened, but I can't -I can't afford that kind of money!" She tried to reason with him.
