After a night of more nightmares than sleep, Lola woke up to a pair of maids asking what she wanted to wear and what she wanted to eat for breakfast. They looked like they were ready to help her take a bath and dress up.
Lola stretched her body and slid off the bed, going to the bathroom without saying a word.
"What a spoilt little tyrant! She's not even a teenager but she is carrying herself around with such an appalling attitude. What will she grow up into?
You know, I don't trust a word about this girl being Miss Amanda's child. She must be an impostor." Lola heard one of the maids say, not even bothering to whisper.
"Hush! Do you want to die?" The other shut her up, and Lola chuckled as she brushed her teeth.
By the time she was done, the maids had left her room—she was glad that they had. The attention everyone was hell set on giving her was making her uncomfortable.
