"Please… please ask for something else. We will do whatever you want." Helen chocked.
"I only want this." Shera declared sternly. "The only thing I want from you is my mother."
"But we cannot bring back the dead." Helen stuttered. Amanda Caron was dead. How could they bring her back to Shera?
Shera narrowed her eyes in ridicule and she enunciated syllable by syllable, "you should have thought about that when you killed my mother!"
Livian didn't know that moisture had gathered at the rims of his eyes until his vision became blurry. He reached to wipe it away with his forefinger. Until now, he didn't know what kind of past grudge Shera had against his family.
But now, she was accusing his parents of killing her mother and they didn't deny it. Could it be… that they really did it?
All this while, had he hated her for nothing?
It was her who had the right to hate him and his family. He glanced at Shera who was looking back at him.
