People are saying he beyrayed her in the last lifetime but there was a clear description that his past self didn't want to leave her and yet forcefully had to tell her to leave.... so it could mean that something happened which forced him to do that.... like before her dying he even came to see her... and he was even holding a wedding night with her dead body according to MLs dream....so I'm not angry at him cuz circumstances can force a person to do things they don't want to and despise.... that's how the world apparently works and the author caught it perfectly by hinting us readers in various places. We should not judge only one side of the strory unless they're those greentea bitches

Yet he deserves the suffering and emptiness he feels and more. Such love with such cowardice in the end. He could have abandoned his title and fortune, protected her, left with her. If Feifei is suffering even now through her dreams and illusions, he deserves feeling all that in the flesh.

Don't use love as a reason you betrayed her. Even you being force or anything, you should just tell her the truth that time, but it already too late to mend everything. Love does not mean if you were betrayed once you will come back again...and again and again and again that will be like a curse a toxic and even bad for both parties they need to learn that its not bad to love someone and let go of the past yes we have regrets in tha past but there is always a present we are here to focus on it enjoy on it and love on it but in this book you could see that both of them are tormented by thier past lives and i think both of them need to let go of each other to learn that love is not like that love is where you could learn to be happy comforted and feel to be secure the person who could see you in you awful and wonderful times but he.... No he just married a dead corpse to redeem himself and the girl needs to learn that she should let go of the guy loving a guy that loves you in the darkness is not love its a coward act of saying its love .....

Being cruel to the person you love and saying you do it to protect them. Seen this too much in drama. These were never the answers to a problem. This cruel act will leave permanent scar in the other person's heart. Living with a permanent scar or dying with a loved heart. I think no one should make this choice for another person. Every one should choose for themselves.

You know.. her family should have been killed and not just stripped of their title.. so in knowing that one of the agreement to saving their lives especially hers could have been he needed to break off the engagement and marry the other girl.. and if he showed in public he had any kind of feelings the other girl could have cried back to her father to cajoled the emperor to just kill them off instead because really the emperor would have loved any excuse to since her father was getting too powerful since he is a general. So the only thing saving her and her families life was the word of the other ministers in court.. because to him it was the only way he could save her else the kingdom would have hunted her down until she was dead so it wouldve been a matter of dying now or a bit later.. but in making that decision it broke her heart and guaranteed he never mentioned his plan thinking she trusted me but it was hard for her after everything she saw. That's why i make it a rule to never trust what i hear and always question what i see..

If he planned something he should've let her in instead of making feel miserable and in the end dying for him to come back to a dead body full of hatred for him. If he can take away her dead body then he shoul've done that sooner when she's still alive. Talking to a cold corpse and holding a wedding is useless because the person is already gone with so much hatred and love for him. This book makes me cry for her but don't pity what happened to him and that father of his. I do hope that in the past and the present that they would get the karma that they deserved and the happiness that she deserves.

Oh my god it is such a refreshing novel. I am tearing down while reading, yet i want to read more. Let me tell you writer, i never ever prefer to watch sad movies also, this is the first time i am getting interested with a sad romantic love story.
