It was crazy how my heart started to race. I would admit I was scared at least to myself there was no need to hide the truth from myself.
Once again I turned off my emotions. I looked up at Elizabeth and she suddenly looked petrified.
He stopped when he got to our table and stood still scoping both of us. There was a smirk on his face that I wanted to slap away.
"You decide to eat here today." He said facing Elizabeth.
She blushed when her eyes met his and I immediately saw that they were in love or she was in love. I looked up to see a pair of dark eyes and I immediately looked away.
"I have a new friend that's why. I was going to come over soon anyway."
"New friend?" He asked and that's when he acknowledged my presence.
He eyed me from head to toe even looking under the table just to see my feet and his face showed disapproval. "And who are you?"
"She's Arabella." Elizabeth answered for me. I swallowed as I shuffled my feet under the table. A bile rose up in my throat. He was distasteful more like soured egg.
"I didn't ask you let her speak for herself!" He snapped turning to face her with a frown. I looked at her and noticed that the blush and joy that was on her face earlier had turned into fear.
I was angry.
"Like she said I'm Arabella. I must say, right now I'm trying to decipher the difference it makes to you if she answers or I do." I frowned.
Elizabeth's eyes widened and she looked at me shaking her head in disapproval like I just opened a zoo. I shrugged mouthing "what!" To her, She face palmed and just looked at her feet like there was something interesting on the ground. I thought she was brave, I guess I was wrong.
Oscar leaned forward then placed his hands on the table. He looked at me his face blank, "The difference is I asked you so you should be the one to reply because it is what I want."
I scoffed. "Oh please. Where is it In the constitution that Whoever is asked must reply." I Paused and rolled my eyes. "If you don't mind please leave. I hate when strangers talk to me while I'm eating. I don't want spit getting into my food." I looked him squarely in the eyes and frowned. I was disgusted and it probably showed on my face.
I expected him to explode yet I hoped that he won't. With the way he dressed I hoped he acted that way, classy and sophisticated.
He looked at her and then at me, then he lifted himself up and buttoned his suit. "I'll see you later but before then do brief this wide mouthed friend of yours how things work around here. She looks like she really needs a lot of tutoring." With that said he walked away.
"The nerve of that guy like who does he think he is?" I snorted, hitting my fork on the plate immediately he backed away.
I just lost my appetite.
Elizabeth shook her head Then she exhaled and sat straight. There was fear in her eyes and it made me angry. But at least she looked relief and was no longer pale.
"Is he your boyfriend?" I asked. I felt as though he was. There was a chemistry between them It was hard to miss.
Her eyes widened in shock. She seemed to swallow hard. "Yes. I've got to go. Enjoy." She stood up carrying her bag pack and turned to leave. She turned back, "you can have my food too. We will talk tomorrow I'll text you. Sorry."
She mouthed and walked away.
I stared at her back wondering what the hell was going on.
How was she going to text me if she didn't have my number.
Facebook maybe.
