3 Harsher Empire

At level 10 , players could go to the capital of their country or empire and get a class there . Though it may sound like a drag , it was designed as a test of sorts , depending on the level you left the beginner village at . Level 25 was the rough estimate for a level which made the class quests easiest . For every level above 10 at which you leave the village , the class quest would become easier . There were however some downsides to this . The higher your level , the less bonus stats you get . Even though just 5 may look like nothing at first , after 15 levels it would become a difference of 75 attributes between a player taking the class quest at level 10 and the one who took it at level 25 .

Ron knew this , and also the fact that at level 10 , the class quests was S - grade . But that was all . He wasn't like some top ranker , but he was good enough according to his own standards . Combat wasn't something he was inexperienced in . If it came to simple combat , he might even be able fight head to head against them , but the problem was : Level .

In a game , levels may not be the difference between skills , but were certainly the difference between power , especially at lower levels , as at the higher levels , equipment became another variable .

' I don't need to care about all that ... yet . Level 50 ... that's when the difference between equipment widens . I'll have to be ready for it . ' Ron thought to himself as he looked on on the road . ' I somehow did not have to put any more points into my attributes . I have ... how many free points ?'

" Status ." He whispered under his breath .

' I don't even know how to learn any skills . I am supposed to go to the capital of Harsher empire , and live there for some time . The war has not started . The Dark and the Light forces are still in a truce . '

Harsher Empire was the empire he was currently in . There were 4 empires , which of course were at each other's throats except when something like a major war like the one between the Creatures of Dark and the Creatures of Light was going on , and this was such a time . The war was predicted to end by the end of this year , when the demons did 'something' which will cause the war to be thrown their way .

' I have until then to catch up .' Veracity was running at a time of 3:1 relative to the real world . The half year he had would translate to a year and a half in Veracity time . The other rankers would most likely reach level 200 and their 2nd class advancement by that point considering how hard it got to level up even once after level 100 .

Ron shivered as he remembered the huge amount of experience required to level up he saw on a post . ' It's good that I will have no assignments for the rest of the years of my life . ' He sighed .

He looked as though he had left his past behind him . ' This game is much softer than what I did in reality anyways .'

He remembered the contract he signed with the States and sighed once more . ' Who told me to surrender at just 18 years of age .'

His eyes looked distant and the people around him stole short glances at him . To them , he looked like an elf as he had the same characteristics as one as long as no one focussed on his mouth , when he opened it , except ears , of course .

There were four more people sitting on either side of him , and he was currently on a carriage to the Capital of Harsher Empire , Ruseir City . The other people were of different races as well with a Human , a Dwarf , a Dryad and a Sprite

Sprites were something like elves except they had minimal physical attack and couldn't use equipment . They were one of the races which received a huge boost on their advancements . The beginners were considered as lower sprites , when they get their first class advancement , they will become actual members of the Sprite community every advancement after that will improve their status , later , becoming an elder Sprite at a higher advancement .

Vampires were the same and so were the Draconians and Demons .

The carriage abruptly stopped and an elderly voice came from the front " Here we are , kids . Ruseir city . You have already paid for the ride so make it quick , I need to get passengers for the return trip ."

Ron quickly jumped down and vanished into the crowd of players across from the carriage .

" Impatient kid . " The old man said as he patted his horse .
