"Snake, catch" (Rex)
Nine individuals were sitting around a clothed, velvet table and were opening a variety of bottles and cans.
The individual called Snake, unlike his chronological age, was about the size of a six year old and unlike his original appearance, Snake had purple, pink and green hair blended together to make a spectrum of colour. Snake had healthy pink skin, normal teeth and none of his scales were showing. This did not mean Snake was human, it just meant that he had discovered how to transform into one.
Grabbing the airborne can of cola, Snake pulled his head back to drink, letting out a small smile, which caused him to almost choke since the three witches of the team had pounced on him.
Violet, Elizabeth and Lily were triplets. Not identical triplets, but they did share a lot of similarities, they liked cute things, sweet confectioneries and lots of alcohol. However most in the squad just dubbed them as the Shotacon witches, due to their constant pampering of Snake and their creation of Snake based objects, like the dolls. However this is where they show their differences. Violet liked purple, Lily pink and Elizabeth green, which was expressed in their clothing and room colour scheme.
After Snake had learned how to transform, they made it second nature to him to become their favorite colour whilst they were present, which was used against them since Rex placed the alcohol fridge in Snake's room. This meant that when they tried to sneak inside, Diamond would shoo them away leaving their iconic invisibility magic and cloaks useless.
Diamond, Garnet and Rex were the original trio of the squad, with Rex's background being a complete mystery.
Diamond and Garnet, although those were aliases given by Rex, had a complete mastery of defence, they apparently started out as monks, however, after their monastery was burned to the ground, they moved from one martial arts dojo to another learning how to defend themselves. Their meditation seemed to have given them some sort of magic related to earth and metal manipulation, making them extremely formidable, defensively.
Most of the members were what the wizard community called the enlightened, rogues, or cultivators. The three witches picked up magic somewhere in the fourteenth century as rogues, whilst Diamond and Garnet were enlightened, no one knew Rex's age but he laughed at the concepts made and shook his head.
Nathan and Sid were practically hermits, unless they had a mission they would not come out of their rooms. It was Sid who brought Snake over, although he was working with an outsider at the time. In addition due to his hermit trait, although he had met Snake first he had the least contact.
Their hermit behaviour didn't make them weak thou and they had apparently unlocked two primordial paths, which were ironically opposites.
Sid unlocked sloth, which gave him illusion magic, dreamscape magic, and the most dangerous being inverted reality. However his magic and body got stronger as long as he slept and stored enough energy, which he did 24/7.
Where as Nathan had unlocked diligence. Diligence only had two spells, train body and train spirit. He used these spells simultaneously to become unreasonable strong whilst researching ancient magic tomes . However the progression was equal with Sids and they could not get a conclusive outcome when they fought.
Leaving out Zylus and Snake, the eight above have been a famous mercenary unit for several centuries. Although most people confuse them with archmages this is because none of them have ever shown their trump cards and have just been using simple chantless attribute manipulation.
Zylus and Snake, the rookies of this squad, had a decent amount of strength. However they only knew the basics of magic, Snake got creative with his magic and made sound magic so he does not need to gesture or twirl whilst attacking, but the efficiency was slightly harsh , where as Zylus can use strong magic but still needs to chant leaving him open to attack.
With a strong voice Rex shouted:
"Let's start the meeting" (Rex)
