A cupcake toothpaste

"Oh, there she is." Luke said as I walked into the kitchen, rubbing my eyes and yawning. Pulling out the milk from refrigerator, I smiled to myself.

Today is Sunday. Means no office and no work. I'm gonna watch Netflix and chill all day.

"Morning, Jane!" I threw the milk out of my mouth hearing the same horrible voice of Mrs. Harrington.

"What the hell!?" Luke cursed stretching his soaked shirt.

What the hell is Mrs. Harrington doing here? Have she planned about ruining my Sunday?

"What are you doing here Mrs. Harrington?" I asked as politely as I could.

"I brought you apple pie." She gushed, smiling brightly that showed her white bright teeth. Instead of surprising, I was rather dubious about the whole act. What's with that bright morning smile and apple pie?

"Taste it and tell me how's it?"

I raised my brow at Luke. Maybe he had an idea about what's going on here? But he just shrugged. My guts was telling me that I shouldn't take any bite of this pie, but then I thought Dorcus must be at his grandma's house since it's Sunday that's why Mrs. Harrington was happy.

Not pursuing the matter any further I picked up a piece of apple pie and shoved it into my mouth.

Exquisite.

That's what I felt before a voice which haunts my nights approached to my ears.

"Mom! They don't have cupcake toothpaste. How am I supposed to spend whole day here!?" Dorcus yelled at her mother who gave me a fake smile before glaring at her son.

Did he just say whole day...here?

"What's going on here?" I asked absolutely dumbfounded by the situation.

Mrs. Harrington began, "Umm....You remember my mother who visited here last year?"

"The one who tried to break walnut through her teeth but happened the exact opposite." I admitted, "Yeah I remember, unfortunately."

Luke gave me a death glare but I ignored it.

"Her health isn't good this year, so unfortunately poor Dorcus can't visit her this Sunday." She continued, "The company in which I work only gives break on Saturday, and I can't just take an extra leave since I've got a project to submit today."

I knew where the conversation was going, but I wasn't ready for it. In this moment, I prayed that much that I'd never done in my life before. I wished she wouldn't say what I'd guessed.

"Can you babysit my Dorcus for today?"

Why hadn't I died before hearing this?

I cleared my throat and asked, "Umm...What about Mr. Harrington?"

She let out an exasperated sigh, "You know that beanbag." I nodded. "I can't leave my Dorcus with him."

I twisted my lip and asked, "But...why me?"

"Oh, I trust you Jane." She flattered grabbing my hands, "Besides, I knew you love apple pie."

I looked at delicious apple pie that was screaming at me to devour it, but also screaming the recipe of disaster.

It was all because of that apple pie. Mrs. Harrington bribed me so she could make me for babysitting her Dorcus.

I swallowed the last piece of pie and agreed, "I'll babysit him."

"Thank you so much, Jane. You're the best." She exclaimed shaking both of my hands. "Be a good boy, Dorcus and don't bother anyone."

When she left I turned my attention to my sweet brother who was smiling widely at me. "I'm gonna castrate you." I yelled, throwing a plate at him, but unfortunately he caught it.

"Don't blame me for your acquisitiveness." He shrugged while rushing into his room.

I sighed and leaned against the counter thinking about how things could get worse for me.

"Jane! I want a cupcake toothpaste!" Dorcus the son of devil said loudly. Why he always has to yell at everyone?

"I've a mint one in my bathroom. Go get along with that." I said simply, walking past him.

"Have you forgotten about apple pie?" I stopped in mid and turned around to see smirking Dorcus.

Little Shit.

He knows how to get his job done.

"Luke!" I yelled, "Dorcus and I are going to a grocery!"

"I hadn't thought you two would be friends that soon." I heard him say before grabbing my hoodie and marching out of the apartment. Dorcus did the same as well.

I fastened his seatbelt and then mine before driving to the nearby grocery.

"Jane, can I get the poop flavour?"  Dorcus asked looking up at me.

"No." A poop flavour? Seriously? What's wrong with the people who manufacture the shits like this?

His face turned into a red balloon and he ran away from me.

Go run away, kid. I'll tell Mrs. Harrington that a cupcake toothpaste swallowed you.

I've to follow him because no one would believe me. Ugh! This kid annoys me.

Sighing, I ran towards him, and saw him standing. He was doing nothing but staring at something in front of him.

I reached to him and realised his pupils were dilated and mouth were hung open.

Is this some kind of alien invasion?

"Jane?" Dorcus said quietly, while I 'hmm'ed a response. "What's this?" I looked up in the direction where his finger pointing to see the bundles of packets on which intimate pictures of a man and woman were portrayed

behind the fire.

"You're Not big enough to know about this, Dorcus." I replied with dried throat. Grabbing his arm, I tried to drag him but he was resisting me.

"It says it's a chocolate flavour." Dorcus said loudly, "Chocolate is my favourite, Jane. I want chocolate."

"You're an annoying kid Dorcus, Come with me!"

"No! I want chocolate!"

"I'll get you chocolate, but not this one. This is for big people only." I whisper yelled.

He argued, "I'm big enough!"

Oh please. I've already seen how big you are, little devil.

"What are you doing here?" I turned to see a familiar face.

"None of your business, Ryder." I snapped, crossing my arms against my chest.

He looked behind me and smirked. "Right. It's not my buisness, but I was just shocked to see you here. It almost felt like seeing a priest walking into the club."

Bastard. He's more annoying than Dorcus.

I plastered a fake smile and said, "Why,Ryder? Can't I buy a condom for my boyfriend?"

Yes, I know what am I doing. This is the only best way to get rid of that bastard. And trust me, watching his nasty smirk dropping is the best feeling in the world.

"Y-You have a boyfriend?" He seemed shocked, his eyes widened and smirk disappeared.

And I mentally flipped my hair being the reason of Ryder's cats frightening appearance.

"Off course I have." I said, giving him a smirk. "Haven't you seen him last night when we're dancing?"

His eyes went wide as if they were about to pop out of his sockets. He realised whom I was talking about.

I turned towards Dorcus and smiled, "Come on Dorcus, lets buy a chocolate."
