Moving Quickly

The guards on the walls were left wholly shocked by Alaric's display of power. He had obliterated the charging monsters when all hope seemed lost.

Usually, Alaric would take this chance to flare up the show a little bit, but instead, a sense of panic began to seep into his mind. His father's monsters had been increasing in number, and their threat is growing. He needs to become stronger quickly.

He ran back inside the city, past the shocked guards and people frozen in fear in the streets. He moved inside the inn and saw Ethan casually eating.

"Hey Alaric, how'd it go?"

Alaric was sweating, "Inian's monsters are attacking more frequently. I don't think we have as much time as we thought."

Ethan was chewing his food while listening to Alaric, then swallowed and said, "we need some human soldiers, and you need to become stronger."
