Daybreak - Part 1

Early morning, the sun rose with its golden light, showing the drought has yet to pass. The children play with smiles on their faces, ignorant to the troubles of their parents, and the birds sing their joyous songs as their food supply has dwindled substantially. Daybreak has arrived with all its wonders soaring high, and all of the world's problems hidden in plain sight.

"I find it pitiful and revolting that these leeches called children play such boring games, don't they know how much more fun they'd have if they just played along with me and my games?" thought Mary to herself, "Its a tragedy that they can't enjoy life to the fullest, although I say that, I'm stuck in my own prison of deceit where I can't enjoy myself either. At least not yet. In fact for the sake of the world I'll make sure to completely annihilate the thing called 'mom'. After all there is no reason why I can't have fun after she's gone, in fact I'd be doing everyone a favor by gaining my own freedom." Taking a moment she laughed to herself before beginning to walk out the house, "it's time for a second dive into the river." She Whispered.

"My precious little Mary, are you going out?" Yelled the old lady merrily from another room.

"Yes mom, I was actually about to go find you to let you know, After all I wouldn't want you to worry."

"Okay, well, be sure to be careful, understood?"

"Ok mom," said Mary while secretly cracking a devious little grin. "Me!? I should be careful! Ha! what a joke it's you who should be careful! Do watch your steps on the way down however. The fall is a long way down on the steps to hell!" Thought Mary with a smile.

Steel river - 9 am

With a great speed one could see a small child traversing the banks of the river.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it," shouted the little doll in a language unknown to anyone else in this world. "I need to calm down, otherwise I'll miss what I'm looking for." She muttered to herself. "But, what god damn river doesn't have a single weapon in it? I swear if I don't at least find a carving knife I'll just gouge out my mothers eyes using my nails and bite into her neck. Maybe that'd be more fun, but it's an unnecessary risk... So is this though..." thought Mary.

This small child was Mary who had been searching for any kind of weapon for the past 4 hours. Although, when thinking about it it's only natural that this would be the case, as the trash of the city, the residents of the slums would rarely ever be punished for killing one another. As it stands it'd only be a waste to throw away a perfectly good weapon.

Still not having realizing this, Mary sat down near the bank cross legged and began to meditate, she thought "perhaps this way at least I'll be able to calm myself down."

Upon meditating for the past 20 minutes or so she came upon something, something she would never have seen otherwise. It was a small white node, not visible to the naked eye, and from this node she could see her aura being released. She summarized, "It must work like a window, in fact one could say my body is just a cellar for storing my aura. But this doesn't seem like it would release the amount I sensed, no there has to be more around my body. If that's the case seeing as the node is being blocked. What if I were to fully open the window or better yet all the windows? Would I die? If I did, I wonder what my mother would think? Would she be terrified!? Or maybe she'd die of rage! Besides I've died before and it's not so bad. At least like this I'd have nothing to lose!"

She began to try many things with the node as she found more and more covering her body, before deciding that if nothing but aura comes out then there is no reason why it shouldn't be able to pour out or move according to her will. The gates then burst open. She could feel her aura rapidly leaving her body and she panicked for a moment. "I need to keep it from leaking away!" Screamed Mary internally. As a result she clumsily restrained the area to which her aura spread.

Mary, oblivious to her own prodigious talent had applied the first of the four major principles of nen, ten. But with her terrible naming sense she dubbed the skill "thank god I'm still alive." Mary began to laugh "ahh, well I can't die that easily can I? Despite seeing my aura leave me like that I can feel that I'm stronger, even if only a little bit. Now to test my first theory, what if I were to force my aura back into my body?" Seemingly slow to herself she began to close her nodes. She felt wonderful, it was almost as if she was invisible, because she could not feel her presence even when seeing her own reflection on a shard of glass. Zetsu, now called "concealment" would be Mary's second greatest weapon against the old lady.

The first, now, would be discovered by complete luck when Mary began to test what would happen when she began opening only certain nodes, along with also trying to enhance the flow of aura escaping her body.
