"Brothers, sisters, mother and father. I'll be making a trip to one of the mortal worlds. I don't know when I'll be back, but I will definitely be at father's birthday celebration in 50 neds.
(Around 17 of your years. We gods have such long life spans, we don't celebrate every year and instead every 10,000 years.)
"Why would you travel to a mortal world? What is there to gain?" My eldest brother Siverton asked.
(His role is the god of balance.)
"Well, I don't mean to offend anyone, but the life I currently live feels quite boring. Since young, we have played every game imaginable from trying to see who could create the best world,
(If my mother didn't participate then I usually won. We played a lot of this.)
to making weapons and seeing whose was strongest,
(If dad didn't participate then brother Leas, god of death, usually won.)
we even tried mortal activities like mesant. Therefore, I have decided to try something new by disguising myself as a mortal and living like they do."
"What a splendid idea." My mother said. "But the pressure you give off is more than enough to crush a measly planet."
"That is why I have decided to split some cells and send those to a mortal world. Using the cells as a medium, I'll transfer my consciousness to them so that the force I give off won't crush a planet if I contain myself." I replied. "I'll leave my true body here."
"How will you choose a planet, brother?" Druil asked. He looked very serious and it was obvious he was very interested.
(He's the god of light and dark.)
"Do you want me to create one for you?" Mother asked.
(I forgot to mention that she's the goddess of creation.)
"No thank you, I would rather it be a more casual world that was randomly created. My idea was to just to be tossed into a random place and go wherever I am carried. If that world has no mortals, than I will just go to the closest world with mortals."
(All the worlds we personally created have mortals, but sometimes they just all die out or are moved to another world.")
"Seems you have thought about this a lot, son. Have fun, just remember to come back for my birthday."
"No problem, dad."
(He's the god of destruction.)
"Goodbye, youngest brother." Siverton said.
"Take your time." My sister said with a smirk.
(She's the god of life.)
One by one my siblings and parents said goodbye and left.
"Brother, wait." Siverton turned around. "Yes?"
"Can you do me a favor?" I asked. "While my consciousness is gone I won't be able to feel what happens to my real body. I need you to protect it from the others, especially Mesel. I know she still hates me because I usually win during our world creator games and she always comes second, third if mother is playing."
"Sure, but why me?"
"Your role is balance. If I give you something of equal value then you will definitely keep your promise.
He smiled, "What do you have to offer?"
I took a deep breath and I reluctantly said, "I'll deliberately lose 3 competitions of your choosing and help you win."
(It may not seem like a lot to some but for us when we have nothing to do, each game is precious, and our parents would favor us if we won. The rank games were especially important because they showed each god where they stood on the rankings (Just because we are strong doesn't mean we don't strive for more power.), mother always won followed by dad, the rest of the spots belonged to us.)
"Five games and we have a deal." My brother said.
I gritted my teeth and said "Fine." I was truly scared of my sister, her creativity always found ways to terrify me more and more. With that I plucked a hair and transferred my consciousness to it. "Can you throw me, brother?"
"Sure." He said and smiled. It was then that I remembered that he also rarely won our games and might have bottled up resentment towards me. I was about to tell him to stop but before I could he threw me with incredible force. I slammed into planet after planet, leaving explosions in my wake. After blowing up what felt like a million planets I finally lost momentum and started drifting.
