Chapter 18: Journal

"What would have happened after that?" Ron exclaimed after hearing the whole story from the twins.

"Voldemort's wife died and he wanted revenge so he went after their parents" Hermoine shrugged.

"No I meant the love between Lily and Severus. Why she chose James? Severus seemed to be a good and innocent one then. If Lily married him, we would've got a kind Potions master. Just imagine that" Ron opened his eyes widely.

"Whatever. You'll still not know how to do a potion" Hermoine teased him.

"Why are you being silent?" Ron asked the twins.

"Actually, we have lot of questions than you do" Harry told looking at the fire place.

"Keep that apart. We've lot of home works to do" Hermoine pushed the books towards them.

"Here comes my grandms" Larry pinched at Hermoine's cheeks.

"I've decided" Larry declared after writing her homework silently.

"Decided what? To make me write the remaining home work" Hermoine glared at her.

"No. I'm gonna ask the rest of the story to my God father" Larry collected her books and left.

"Let me come with you" Harry stood.

"If you went with her, Snape might not tell the story" Ron rolled his eyes.

"No he will" Larry pulled her twin along with her.

They reached Snape's office but he was not there. They decided to wait and sat near his desk. Larry noticed an empty dairy.

"What's that?" Larry went to take the dairy.

"I suggest that he might not like touching his things" Harry told her.

Larry picked up the dairy and flipped through the pages. None of the pages were written. She saw the nearby cupboard filled with lot of dairies. Each with the year on top of it.

"What are you two doing here?" Snape asked in rough voice.

"We…Um…" Harry stammered.

"We met Dumbledore and he told how you spied on us. I came to warn you to not do it again" Larry forced anger in her voice.

"That was for your safety, Larry. If you're so disturbed by that, I won't do it again. You can leave now" Snape watched the twins leaving and grabbed the dairy and locked in his cupboard.

-Library-

"An empty dairy?" Hermoine asked.

"Yes. I saw the whole cupboard with dairies" Larry hissed back.

"I'm sure that dairies will also be empty"

"How do you know that?"

"Because I read somewhere about these kind of dairies"

Both the girls went through the books and finally found the book about magic dairies.

Shouting dairy

Crying dairy

Vanishing dairy

Invisible dairy….

The chapters was endless.

"I can't do this" Larry pushed away the book that looked like a pillow.

"But I can do this" Hermoine pulled the book towards her and started reading.

Larry picked up another book about the beasts in magic world and slept after sometime.

"Got it. Got it. Get up Larry" Hermoine shook her.

"It's an alive dairy. The writer will write the contents with the real feelings and the words will vanish after written. If someone wants to read it, they can't. The readers will enter into that dairy and can see everything in real"

"Come to the point Moine. How we can know what was written? How we can read it or see it?"

"Hmm… By tapping into the first page with our wand. We will be returned only if the book ends" Moine read.

"I should try that" Larry put the books back in the shelves.

"We should Larry. You're not leaving me this time"

"Okay then we can go with Harry and Ron"

They altogether waited Snape to leave  and hurried to the cupboard. They picked up the 1981 dairy from the cupboard which was the last year for Severus at Hogwarts. They tapped at the date January 1, 1981.

They were in the Hogwarts train. When Severus entered Lily's compartment, she left. Along with her James left.

"Don't worry man. She'll come around. You know about her. She can't be angry for so long" Sirius patted his shoulder.

"This time, it is different. I did a great mistake" Severus slapped himself in his cheeks.

"Stop Severus. It'll be okay. She'll understand. Just don't stop trying" Sirius comforted him.

"I won't" Severus said and his voice is cold.

"Is she okay?" Severus asked.

"Yeah. But not so good-"James entered and pulled Sirius along with him.

Severus sat there alone. He was alone in great hall. Everywhere he goes he is alone. James, Lily was not talking with them anymore. James stopped Sirius from talking with Severus.

They were showing their project to Dumbledore. He examined the blank paper and asked "How it works?"

Sirius pulled out his wand and patted it on the paper "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" and the map became visible.

They explained about the map with all the details.

"Awesome. But I don't have trust on you guys to keep this map. So let Lily have it" Dumbledore gave the map to Lily.

Before he started to talk with Lily he asked everyone to leave the class.

"What's going on there?" Larry asked.

"It's Snape's perspective, we can't see whatever he doesn't know" Moine told her.

"No she's asking why our mom is sad. Why is she not talking with Snape? What happened in Christmas holidays?" Harry explained.

"We should have gone for 1980 dairy" Ron twisted his lips.

They watched Severus making a ring. The golden ring with green stone. He met Lily at the bridge over great lake.

"I'm sorry Lily. I really am. You know me. I wouldn't do that" Severus told her.

"I don't care" Lily turned not to see Severus.

"I made this ring for you. I kept part of my life inside it. It'll protect you" Severus gave her the ring.

"If you want to do any favour for me, don't show me your face ever" Lily threw the ring into the lake and left.

The group was dragged out of the dairy. Severus stared at them.

"I don't want any explanations. I don't want to your faces. Get out" Severus shouted and picked up the dairies that scattered on the floor and kept it back.

"Well. I missed one thing. The writers might feel if any of their dairies were opened" Moine told them.

"I'm gonna kill you. You should have told us before" Ron alarmed.

"I was so eager to know what happened between Lily and Snape" Moine grinned.

"Now we stuck with lot more questions than before" Larry crossed her hands over her chest.

"But we get to know one thing, whatever happened in the Christmas holiday is the reason they didn't marry" Harry pouted.
