She Couldn't Blame Him

Summers had always been hard for Ivy because her mother liked dragging her and Ethan all over town doing various activities. Back when her radius was small and being home made a real difference she hadn't wanted to leave the house.

Now that it had expanded and that sort of thing didn't make a difference she wanted to spend all of her time far, far away from civilization in nature. That was how the Chamberlains ended up going on a lot of hikes.

Ethan was NOT happy about it and his internal monologue was a constant stream of complaints every time he couldn't weasel out of going to stay home and play video games. It was nice having less voices in her head even if one of them was particularly annoying.

Kendra seemed happy that Ivy actually wanted to go out too and encouraged her daughter's new hobby by finding as many different places to hike as possible. Ah, she was such a good mom.
