Serefina rolled her eyes upon hearing his statement. "I find that amusing." She answered off- handedly.
"You are trusting her blindly." Serefina said as she finished brewing two cups of coffee before giving one to Kace.
"I am not." He took the cup and ran his fingers on the edge of it. "But, I know she didn't lie." When she talked about her past. He didn't voice out the last part.
Kace has his own way to know when people lied to his face.
"When will you get over it? It had been centuries since the war." Serefina grumbled as she sat down on the couch beside him. "I don't understand you."
Kace let out a dark chuckle as he gave her a wink. "Don't worry, you are not the only one."
"I heard your voice last night." Serefina blew over her hot coffee slowly.
The statement sounded harmless, but it managed to make him drop his calm mask of usual easy- going demeanor.
