Forgetful

"Hi, I am Annie Dale. Nice to meet you." Annie brought out her hand and shook it together with Jason's hand, looking very professional and charismatic. One that you wouldn't see in Annie's usual self.

'Wow, for once, Annie looks very cool here.' Lia clapped her imaginary hands inside her mind whilst on the outside she was smiling towards Jason, waving her hand behind Annie.

Jason shook Annie's hands. At first, he was quite intimidated by Annie's upfront look but upon seeing Julia behind Annie giving him her amiable smile seemed to ease his nervousness by an ample.

"Ah yes, n-nice to meet you. I'm Jason Han." Jason replied while shaking hands with Annie giving her a sheepish smile before sitting down, in front of Annie and Julia.

They were now at a nearby cafe that has a peaceful and quite ambiance, perfect for meetings and self-studying.

It's quite a cafe that's frequented by college students to study or office employees meeting clients.

Jason was fidgety at his seat, aside from the fact that he was already nervous by meeting his future- ah no his manager already, he was quite timid. He doesn't know what to do or where to look at from being scrutinized by Annie. Being an introvert he is, not used to meeting new people, he could only bow his head down and sip water.

'How cute.' Lia also at the side, observed Jason's behavior. Of course, as nosy as she is, she also joined the party with Annie in studying over Jason like a cute hamster in a lab.

Earlier when Lia chatted with jason, she was able to look at him properly. She could see the similar features the book described him as but obviously since he was still 'an unpolished gem, no- he's still a rock right now' as Lia would imply to the 'him' right now, she could now see the potential in this still unripe star.

He must have undergoned tons of training from Twilight to make such a distinct transformation.

'But I bet after a year or not a little less than six months, I think Annie can groom him to who he will be'. After making a bet within her mind, Lia was quite confident about her instincts. As in the past her instincts were rarely wrong at all.

"Hi Jason! As you have met me earlier, I'm Julia Campbell. I will also be your assistant for a while, well at least during your training." Julia finally spoke, breaking Jason from his anxiousness. She introduced herself in a very friendly and cheery manner making Jason comfortable at her presence.

"Ah yes" Jason gave a shy smile to Lia's direction.

Clearing her throat, Annie finally broke her gaze from looking at Jason's way. She finally gave away a smile.

"Don't worry too much and just be comfortable. After all, I'm your manager." Annie spoke before urging Jason to order as she called a waiter to take their orders.

After settling in with their coffee and drinks. Annie began to organize everything and orient Jason about his schedule.

They began to discuss when will Jason's classes finish and what time will his training would start. They also discussed what kind of trainings and lessons he'll receive from Twilight Agency.

All the while, Lia listened closely to Annie's words, noting every detail into her mind. She also took note of Jason's schedule. She had a serious look at her face, she even felt like she was an intern all over again.

She was eagerly learning at the side because she wanted to know the ways and about of this industry, that's still new to her. 'If I want to survive in this world, I must not take everything so ever lightly.' That was what Lia told herself after finally proving that she's not living in just a fantasy dream inside a novel.

She's not inside a novel, as this was clearly a 'real world' with a story similar to a novel she read in the past.

"Oof, that's pretty much it. So Jason, I'll see you this wednesday. You'll finally start training as trainee under the company. Work hard to become a successful artist someday." Annie ended their short meeting at exactly 7:00 p.m.

She sent a look and a smile to Jason's way while continuing "Ah, also Lia here will send you your final schedule."

Lia took the files to her hands, including the file Jason just filled up with which was his bio profile that includes his contact number and emails.

Jason nodded towards Lia and glanced up to Annie before saying "Well, I'll be in your hands o-onwards."

He scratched his head after he realized the words still got out of his mouth rather awkwardly.

The two women just smiled and they bidded their goodbye finally parting outside the cafe.

Annie and Lia still went back to the company and into their offices. They finished up some paperworks and Jason's profile and contracts, properly organizing it in a cabinet and linking his profile into the company's list of trainees. And Lia sending the final schedule to Jason after editing some changes.

The company had quite a system where they were obliged to input every employees' profile and trainees' likewise to an app developed by the company's Head of the IT team.

'This day sure has many surprises for me. Surely, it's different from the novel to the real-life experience face front.' Lia thought while shutting her computer and packing her bag ready to go home.

They finished their work by 8:00 pm thanks to Lia's efficiency. Even Annie sometimes who's her senior is amazed by Lia's ability inside the office. Well she's not entirely surprised as she saw Lia's resume, that she graduated to Commerce as Summa Cum Laude in Cambridge which is a popular choice among students in M City.

Thanks to her being a smart and studious person, 'Julia' got into Cambridge with a scholarship that covered the University's expensive tuition. That is also where she met Stella although they were on a different course, she became one of her 'friends'.

Well that's that because she doesn't know the real reason is because Lia is an experinced businesswoman in the past. Of course, she wouldn't know that.

With that, Annie would sometimes look at Lia with a hungry stare, almost looking beastly. She probably have realized Lia's potential after working with her together.

"Good work today!" Lia shouted to Annie who's also packing her bag and tidying things on her desk.

Annie hummed as a reply before remembering something, she exclaimed a surprised sound and turned to Lia who was about to walk out of the office door.

"Ah, I almost forgot again." Annie knocked her head with her knuckles, she went back to the usual clumsy Annie.

"Huh?" Lia retreated back with a step facing Annie before her expression deadpanned.

"Geez, Annie what did you forget again." Lia pouted towards Annie feeling helpless with the Annie that she usually know behind the scenes.

"Hehe, I forgot to tell you that tomorrow, we'll have employees coming in tomorrow. So the company will be buzzing tomorrow." Annie explained to Lia while scratching her head.

"Employees?" Lia was confused as she recalled the day where she came for an interview. As much as she can remember, she was the only one who came to the company at that morning.

As if sensing her confusion, Annie explained. "Well, its because they were hired in an online interview by the Heads of the PR Team. Also don't worry they are already oriented by Elijah and Li Na, so all we need to do tomorrow is introduce ourselves to each and everyone."

"Anyway, let's go home already. We still have a lot to do by tomorrow." Annie patted Lia's shoulder while passing by her already leaving the office.
