Chapter 147: The Shield of Britannia (6) (New)

Euclio Island and uninhabited Island Close Britannia is often used as a survivalist island for Infantry units on the ground. However, in recent years they have stopped using it due to a pull from the higher ranks.

In truth, they wanted to populate the island, but the funds and motivation to settle it were not there. Now the Island isn't small, but one could say it is about a small state's size.

Alexandra was looking through the profiles with a blank face, this group of men and women. Excellent Potential, their credentials were splendid. But, to Alexandra, it looked like she was looking through many lies built on favoritism. Their decorations are produced by awards created from the rear. None of these Mages have gone through the front lines.

None has seen war.

Initially, this would be not easy, but, The Emperor and the Major Generals from 1-7th have all pushed forward in favor of this plan. Mages are looked on as decorations and often are employed in the rear rather than deployed out.

Standing up, Alexandra went outside. She walked to the wooden podium and waved her hand to the High ranked NCOs and their Accordingly Commanders. Many of the soldiers starred in awe, not because of her being of a young age. It was the beautiful Purple Eyes that attached the most attention.

"Lieutenant Colonel Alexandra Glycia, although you all should have been briefed as to why you are here? I am going to reiterate such.

Welcome the New Founded Mage's Elite 1-101, all 488 of you were 'carefully' selected as the most prominent by their former Units. To them, you are carefully considered the best" She emotionlessly pr, raised, but her eyebrows twitched. It infuriated her that hardly any of them has faced real combat. Unlike their infantry counterparts also defending the border or battling a "Gate of Hell." She felt disgusted looking at the faces full of pride.

She has a bit of an understanding of, Why the Glycia family would fall in battle.

The Potential of Mages was always often ignored, or maybe this is just how she sees things. When she was younger, she thought all Mages were like her father, experienced, and knew the battlefield.

Her Mana Jewel started to glow, which sounded another round of "Awe" from the Mage soldiers.

"Don't get mistaken, do not any of you all Think you are great." Just then, an unbelievable amount of pressure shook the island. The soldiers then started to fall on their feet, unable to hold themselves up.

The Stronger of the bunch was still able to continue to stand; Alexandra raised her hand. Wind blow strongly, Ranks, Insignias, awards, even their identity was blown away by the wind.

Once all of it stopped, the Soldier could barely stand. The room Cleared up when the soldiers finally noticed their considered 'Dignities' were taken away. They looked up to Alexandra, who was already flying without any equipment.

They didn't even know how to get Mad.

"I'll be taking these," the shield holding all their decorations flow toward Alexandra. "I have every single one of you earn these back the right way," she whispered. They watched as the shield flow straight up. Alexandra pulled out her small weapon and pointed at the shield, and fired.

In front of them, the shield burst from the inside, destroying its contents. Not even Ash remained.

"..." The Mage's were shocked and pale. Not knowing what to say nor what to do.

"Fools" Alexandra glared at them. "If you didn't know what 'Hell' was, you will know what it is now." She said before disappearing. The Soldiers on the sandy beach were left, with no direction, and thousands of miles away from the Naval Base Modestus.

Thirty days later...

A rather large Vessel from the Navy approached the beach, drawing the soldiers' attention making them come. They stood information when they saw Alexandra floating above with a merciless gaze. Their eyes showed exhaustion beyond levels. It was like they all had no idea how long they had been there.

"Congratulations, Soldiers. How was your thirty-day survival course on an uninhabited island full of everything that could kill you? Thought I would say everything is fine. 88 out of 488 of you dropped out of this course and returned home.

How unpleasant is not it? It's only been the first month you 88 of you fell out of the re-education training. I expected more from you."

Many of the soldier's eyes turned wide at the mention of 'only first month.' The meaning implied that there was more to come and the hell they survived was only one of the many.

"Board the ship, and your next training starts in the next 72 hours. You are free to use the vessel's facilities. Take this time to relax and enjoy yourselves until the next training." She said emotionlessly as flow away.

A/N: You have no idea where this is from. I salute you. Lol.
