I mean, I get that it's probably just how the author portrays the way kids speak, and I'm pretty sure at one point it was explicitly stated that Amar isn't JJ, but dammit, if I cant have a happily ever after for JJ and Meng, then I can at least pretend that Amar is JJ reincarnated, just without memories. At least if and until Rosa gets to the point of having a love interest, which I expect her to deny with all the fervor she did with JJ when she was Meng.
you know this story is really tragic like meng had gone through some awful things but she was finally getting happy she worked hard she suffered and she was finally getting to a good place and the… it was gone. just like that she has to start again from the beginning with the weight of another life on her shoulders and its jus… its not nice its really tragic and it makes me so sad and i know that this is fiction but it really gets me everytime theres a memory of mengs life bc she was so close
