Makes me smile... My dad is a total farm nerd too. Learns all about sustainable farming practices, how to build your own greenhouse, and has already built some structures to recycle rainwater into our garden. He wants to start a small farm upon retirement. Come to think of it, his "fashion critique" tends to sound kind of like Rosa's dad as well. I remember when I bought a new dress to wear to a wedding, and my mom and sisters were all like, "Oh my gosh, it's so pretty! I love it!". Meanwhile, my dad takes one look and remarks "You look like a hippie" because the dress was so long and flowy, with a sort of vine/flower pattern. Cue my mother's shocked indignation as she tries not to laugh, and my father's insistence that there was nothing wrong with what he said, it was a compliment, and "hippies wore cool stuff too" . Thanks, Dad.
I feel like this phrase fit Rosa to the T. "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." In this case I meant it as a compliment. Using her many random knowledge at her disposal, she is able to manage people who are more skilled than her. In this case, she is totally using her father for his skillset to benefit her many hobbies.
Sometimes seeing how Rosa unknowingly got closer to her father makes me think of my relationship with my father. Then I remember that it took a rebirth for this to happen and Rosa's dad is an actual decent guy who knows boundaries and respects opinions. Ah if only, so nope still not getting along with mine
