The End As I Knew It

With my father's approval we all piled into Jace's four door candy apple red truck, (the make and modle escapes my memory) Erin in front, Arica and I in the back. We were all still jazzed from the party, but the cake and little smokies in croissant pastry left our tummies rumbly.

"I'm gonna order three stacks of Blueberry pancakes, two sausage links and a stake omelet." Jace said as he started up the truck.

" You act as if you haven't eaten all day Jace." Erin said as she fastened her seat belt. Jace just stuck his tongue out as he put the vehicle into gear. Remembering at the last moment to turn the headlights on, we were met with a sight that haunts me still to this day. Why we didn't notice it until then I still can't say.

A large circle of people in black robes were surrounding my house and formed a long line down the street. Just as we realize the driveway and street were blocked off my door was ripped off from the hinges and I was yanked out of the truck. Seatbelt and buckle tearing right out of the seat as I was taken.

The events that followed next are still burned in my mind to this day. My bestie's cry of alarm rang out as Jace and Arica were pulled out next. The throng of black clad invaders tightend their circle as to keep any of us from escaping. As if we could.

Erin's shrill cry was suddenly silenced and my world came crashing down. Like a swarm of starved coyote's the cloaked figures attacked my friends and blood sprayed every where. My frantic cries were met only with dark laughter and a deep gutteral growl as sharp teeth tore into my onwn neck.

As I slipped into darkness the sight of a blurred figure was the last thing I saw before it over took me.
