The introduction to the academy

When Bai Yun woke up, he found himself lying in a bed in a large room. There were a few other beds in the room. He saw that his parents were standing over him.

"You have been out for half a day. It's already well into the night. What were you thinking pushing yourself that hard?" Xiao Mei-er asked him.

"Nothing. I just didn't want to lose to him." Bai Yun replied. "Where am I?"

"You are in the infirmary. This must be a record. I don't know anyone who managed to land in the infirmary before joining." Bai Mu replied.

"You are quite lucky that your injuries aren't serious." Xiao Me-er said.

"It wasn't luck. We both tried to hold back a little." Bai Yun explained.

"And how do you figure that?" Xiao Meier said. 

"We never aimed each other's vital points." Bai Yun replied.

For a moment his parents were silent as they didn't know what to say. Bai Yun simply smiled.
