Etra Chapter: A Few Years Later

"AUNTYYYYYYY! KARA BULLIED ME!!!!!!" A young child cried as he ran towards his aunt.

The child ran way faster than any child his age should be able to, and behind him a little mischievous looking girl chased him with an evil looking grin on her face.

"KARA! How many times have I told you not to bully your cousin?!" Kara's mother yelled at her daughter, who was holding a stick with dog poo on the end of it, chasing her younger cousin with the poo stick.

"Mooommy, Kev is just pretending to cry, don't trust him!!!!! She shouted with puppy eyes.

One would feel sad for her if it wasn't for the smoking gun in her hand, menacing the stock with poo on it.

"Where did you get your bad behaviour from? Really you make me crazy, GO. TO. YOUR. ROOM. RIGHT. NOW. YOUNG LADY." Laura felt her blood boil, she had thought that her daughter would be well behaved considering who her dad is.

Laura had even moved back to Branchville to live with her parents in law, hoping that they would help raise Kara to be as good as her father... alas, they just spoiled her dirty.

Laura looked at young Kevin, he was the son of Tyler B. Collins, Tyler had left Kevin with his parents and Laura as he had business in New York and for his wife, she took over her mother's business and was working today.

"Laura, bring the children in, the food is ready!" Mama bear shouted from inside the house.

Kara that was making puppy eyes at her mother finally lit up as she could eat instead of going to her room. "Tsk!" Laura felt annoyed, for some reason Kara reminded her of Kevin way too much, even when she was being mischievous.

As they walked in, They found Elena and Pete, at the table.

"Ah, you're back, you told us you wanted to speak about something? Laura said as she washed Kevin's and Kara's hands at the sink.

"Yes, I'm retiring from being Red Widow." Elena said happily.

"WHAT?!" Everyone said.

Mama and papa bear had gotten a few gray hairs on their heads, but they have barely aged much in the last eight years since the death of Superman.

Maybe it was because they were genetically modified by a radioactive spider, as a gift from their dead son, but nonetheless, age had not passed them by without touching their faces.

As for Elena and Peter, they both looked more mature, in their early thirties.

Everyone was surprised at the fact that Elena was retiring, she had dwelled into her hero business like a madwoman in the last eight years. Her name was probably even more known in New York than Spiderman himself.

"What's going on" Papa bear asked as he saw the smile on Pete's face, which indicated that it wasn't because of something bad.

"I'm finally pregnant!" Elena said in pure joy.

"Whaaaaat!" Everyone shouted and hugged her.

Whilst everybody was celebrating, Kara gave Kevin a look that said "You better follow my lead or else!" and Kevin just nodded in fear as he saw that.

Kara and Kevin successfully escaped the attention of their elders and hurried upstairs.

As they stood in front of a locked door, they were slightly fearful.

"Kara... maybe we shouldn't do this. Maybe there's a monster inside there." Kevin whispered fearfully.

"Pff Monster? I'm the only monster around here!" She said confidently but her shaking legs betrayed her.

They weren't allowed inside this room, and it was always locked.

Kara's curiosity reached heights unbelievable to any man, some how she finally found the courage to illegally trespass inside this room.

This was because her aunty Elena and grandparents were all in the same house.

Kara's mother couldn't be strict with her whenever those three protected her.

She reached up the locked door and opened it easily with her superior strength, and then she walked inside, followed by Kevin.

But to their surprise, it wasn't a room filled with monsters or evil creatures, it was a simple boys room.

"You think the monster is hiding under the bed?" Kevin said shaking.

"There's no monsters dummy!" Kara said. as the elder of the two, she had to set him straight.

As they started exploring the room. Kara opened the garderobe and a Hoodie fell on her.

She picked up the yellow hoodie and looked at it.

Then she looked inside the garderobe and found that all the clothes were very big, and there were many yellow, red and blue hoodies.

But what gave her a real surprise was the fact that she found a couple of red and blue Superman Suits.

She wasn't unfamiliar with Superman, ever since she heard about him she became obsessed with Superman, it was her favourite hero.

Feeling like she has stumbled into a great secret, she hurriedly pushed the yellow hoodie back inside the garderobe and closed its doors.

Kevin saw her behaviour.

"Did you find a monster?!" He became scared.

"Of course not, keep silent or I'll feed you cow dung!" She said threateningly.

Kevin simply nodded in fear.

'Was Granddad Superman when he was young?' Kara started pondering. Her eyes finally reached two pictures beside the bed.

She walked forward and picked one of them up.

In the picture was a very handsome teenager, and for some reason she found him very familiar but she couldn't put her finger on it.

She picked up the other framed picture and saw the same man, but this time he was a grown up, and even more handsome.

She just stared at him until she saw her own reflection on the glass of the framed picture, it looked very familiar to the man in the picture.

Kara suddenly heard two people.hurriedly walking upstairs so she put the pictures back in place.l and turned around, her mother was there looking angry.

Kara didn't notice her mother's angry nagging, as her chest was pounding, because she might have seen someone she always longed for.

"Was that my dad?" Kara thought sadly.

Laura stopped berating Kara when she saw her looking sad.

"Don't go in there anymore okay, that room belonged to someone important that died a long time ago. I'll telly.ou more when you grow up." Laura said as she hugged her daughter.

Laura felt slightly guilty because Kara had never seen the face of her father, it hurts Laura to much to have his pictures around.

Kara doesn't even know about Kevin's identity as Superman since that could potentially put her in danger.

Since that day, Kara had started realising things about herself, why she was stronger, smarter and faster than everyone else. She kept it from her mother as Laura seemed very saddened by these things.

"Emergency Meeting!" A signal went out to every Avenger, making them meet in a big assembly hall. As for those that couldn't come, they were listening in through holographic communication devices.

Black widow walked forward and spoke in a serious voice.

" Dr. Strange has seen magic visions, and earth is in grave danger, in 1-2 years time a great fight will take place in our galaxy and we will be in the cross fire."

"How assured are you of this information" Suddenly a sceptical voice spoke up.

"To be quite honest with you, the first wind we got of this was eight years ago, there was a mutant that saw a potential future of this war, however non e of us took it seriously as... there were details in that vision that couldn't be true. But now, we found to many evidences of this war happening, and it's time for us to assemble."

In the central city, a gardener came to water the grass and take care of the flowers Infront of the Superman momentum.

"Hmm lately, there alot of flower growth above his grave, I wonder why?" The skinny, elderly gardener with short grey hair and a white moustache said, his sunglasses made him look like a boss.
