Chapter 1CHAPTER 1: The Last She Saw

"We have to go, now!" Marco shouted to his wife as he came running from the outside, barely making it as the night sky is filled with ashes.

"Just a moment!" Nadia's parents pack in tremble as the streets outside their home were in chaos. It was dark at night but the town is lit by huge fires coming from burning houses and corpses. Guns were firing from all around as they hear the people cry in pain and fear.

"Where's Nadia? She could be in danger!"

"Mother, I'm here!" Nadia ran towards her.

Her mother kneeled and looked at her, worried, "Don't you leave my sight young lady! The town is in chaos, we have to leave!"

"I'm scared." Nadia hugged her mother tightly. "They were killing people." She said with tears in her eyes.

"I will protect you. Both of you." Marco assured his family as he peaks out of their door, searching for an opportunity to leave.

As the men clear out, they ran fearfully as they try to avoid the raining arrows from atop the mountain. Gianna held Nadia by her hand and they follow Marco as they leave. Nadia tearfully looked at the people she is so fond of get killed right in front of her eyes. She saw archers and gunmen behind them, mages burning down houses, searching for every villager they can kill. They were an army, a diverse one. Merciless, not even a hint of hesitation. "Aaaghh!" People were crying and bleeding everywhere. She does not understand. Why is this happening all of a sudden?

Gianna picked Nadia up. "Close your eyes baby. We'll get out of here soon."

She leans her head at her mothers shoulders, her arms wrapped around her mother's neck. Her eyes were closed but she still can hear and feel the people die around her. She cried in fear.

"Soldiers! Over there!" a man with a sinister, psychotic voice, saw Gianna and Marco running and ordered his men to shoot. Nadia heard and she opened her eyes, seeing a man at the edge of a cliff barely a silhouette. But a fire suddenly went huge in front of him, lighting his every detail; frail-looking, grey-haired. A man who held a staff with green fire, who was he?

Marco saw the approaching men and stopped. They wore full metal armor from head down to their feet and they were armed with sword and some, bows and guns. They looked at them in worry and fear.

"Go! I'll stop them."

"No Marco! We leave!" Gianna tried to pull Marco's hand but he resisted.

"We cannot outrun them all. Someone has to slow them down." He looked at the soldiers approaching. He pulled out the bag around him and gave it Gianna.

"Please." Gianna cried as she painfully let go of his hand.

"Take care of our little girl. Now go!" He picked up a sword from near him and pointed it towards the enemy.

Marco fought the remaining men as Gianna ran as fast she can.

"Ready, shoot!"

Nadia heard multiple gun shots fired.

As Gianna reached the foot of the mountain she put Nadia down. "Are we going to go back to father?" She asked.

Gianna tries desperately to hide her pain, "It's still too dangerous up there. We cannot go back to father yet, but we can take shelter at the church."

Soldiers ran and searched for the two as they were ordered that all people killed. "There's a woman down there!" a soldier exclaimed.

Gianna panicked. "They saw us! Run quick!" she grabbed Nadia by her hand and pulls her hard as they ran fast.

"Shoot them!" the same sinister man demanded.

"Mother!" Nadia cried as she saw her mother fall, arrows were shot behind her.

Dying, she whispered, "Run, Nadia. I love you." Nadia held her mother's hand the last time as she breathe her last breath.

As she saw the same soldiers try to kill her too, she tearfully rushed to the church just like her mother said she should. She feels nothing but anger and pain towards these men as they mercilessly kill her family and her village. And who is that devilish man? She vowed to find and end him.

Suddenly, a man in his late 50's called with an almost husky voice, "Natalia? Natalia!"

She then opened her eyes.

To be loved. He would never have her heart!  Or could he?  ________ "What can you offer me, little human," He grinned, slow and cruel. She would make such a wonderful plaything.  "Please," She begged him, tears now gathering in her eyes, "Just let me go."  "Fine," He shrugged as if it was an easy request, "You can go."  "W-what?" She croaked, finding it hard to believe.  "Little human, you would find out my mind changes very easily." Those words sounded merciful yet she could sense the threat beneath.  But did he really mean?  Islinda didn't sit around to find out as she broke into a sprint. If there was even the slightest chance of him changing his mind, then she would take it. She would not give up hope yet.  She didn't know why but Islinda spared a look over her shoulder after a while and the blood drained from her face at what she saw coming.  Oh no, she just made a terrible mistake.  This was never freedom.  It was a hunt.  And she just became the prey.  _________ Note: This is a dark fantasy book and the male lead is a villain, so don't expect fluffy romance. The Devil's Good Girl

A cheating boyfriend and a traitorous best friend had always been a cliché start to a story. Fil often thought those things only happened in such narratives. Who would have thought this same cliché twist would happen to her? Fil was a devout Christian who held marriage and marital fidelity sacred. She had been a very good girl from childhood to adulthood. But when she caught her childhood sweetheart slash fiancé and her best friend rolling under the sheets, Fil wanted to rebel for the first time. The first step of her rebellious journey? Getting drunk. After drowning her sorrows with the help of alcohol, Fil met the enigmatic Jackson. The moment her eyes met those tantalizing golden orbs, words slipped past her lips without any notion of the kind of situation she was getting herself into: “Will I go to hell if I lose my virginity before marriage?” His thin, red lips curled up as a glint flickered across his naturally sharp eyes, and he said, “Who knows? But I can bring heaven to you if you want me to.” ***** Jackson. A man shrouded in mystery and secrets, licentious to the core with zero morality, someone who had grown bored playing games with life. Until one fateful night, a woman suddenly appeared before him — a perfect prey for a boring night. Little did he know, a night with a rebellious wannabee wouldn’t be enough to quench his biological urge. Nor would he ever fathom the colors she gave to his gray-colored world. A good girl with dirty thoughts and a sinful man who had even dirtier thoughts. A relationship that started for revenge and to satisfy one’s need; was there even space for true love? How? When the man bending her down would nastily whisper in her ear, “You've been a fucking good girl.” **** As the two grapple with their own demons threatening to tear them apart, doubts would start surfacing in their hearts. Was this rebellion worth sacrificing her principles for? Could she truly find happiness in the arms of a man so steeped in darkness? And for Jackson, was redemption possible for a devil like him? And if so, would she be the one to lead him towards the light? Would she even accept his darkest secrets and the hell of his world? In a world where trust was a rare commodity and love was a fragile flame, Fil and Jackson would have to navigate the treacherous waters of desire and redemption. Would they face the unknown together? Or would they let go to save themselves from the impending pain of being together? **** JOIN MY DISCORD SERVER: https://discord.gg/gXCMQwmrGY Spanish translation of this book is also available on Webnovel . Hellbound Heart

[WARNING: MATURE CONTENT] - Izabelle had underestimated the fire she thought she was going to play with tonight. But how could she ever have foreseen that the man she had happened to come across with does not play with just a small fire, but a whole inferno? ___ Excerpt: "You going through this marriage with me might as well be like you digging your own grave. Because the moment you start to want more from me, I will divorce you. And the moment you break your promise and try to fight me… I will ruin you and break you apart completely. Mercilessly. You will regret ever meeting this devil tonight." His threat was given in the same soft but cold voice. But Elle did not even flinch. Her gaze never faltered either. This man was ruthless, and she knew that clearly. His eyes that moment promised nightmares and darkness without any promise of respite. But no matter what he says now, it would still not change her decision. She truly had no other choice. "I understand now…" she said quietly, steeling herself. "Since you don't trust that I will keep my word, how about we do this? You prepare the divorce documents beforehand now and I'll sign it. That way, once you decide to divorce me in the future, the papers would already have been signed and there would be no way I can trouble you about it. You would just need to send it to the lawyers and have it notarized." A heavy silence reigned before his quiet disbelieving laugh broke the silence. "I'm at a loss for words, Princess Izabelle." He looked wickedly amused. But then he started nodding in approval. "Fine, princess. I will marry you." ___ Instagram account: kazzenlx.x facebook page: author_kazzenlx Discord server: https://discord.gg/UGTA3A4 Cover is mine so don't use it.
