Informing the family about the camp.

On Jolin's way home, he met up with the twins. As soon as the twins saw him, they knew something different had happened today but they couldn't decide whether it was something good or bad. When Jolin saw the expressions on their faces, he smiled and said, "wait until we meet father." On the other side, Grace was pondering on how best to deliver these news.

At Jolin's house, after they had all finished their meals, Jolin made an announcement in today's event. "father, you might know more about these intercity teams and the camp than I. As such I would like to know more about it. The truth is, I alongside Grace, have been chosen to participate at this camp. Whether or not we pass is another matter. However,if we do succeed in staying with a team, it will open an easier path in our future. Therefore I want to ask for your blessing even if I have already accepted this, and to ask for your advise and knowledge on this matter."

Joe Jaquin: " O yes, I often wondered if they would ever bring back this amazing opportunity. I am glad that our cities are growing up after that incident. Forgive us for not giving you a heads up, however why worry about it if you don't have the chance of going to one of these camps. Now, since you have been invited, I will give you more details."

He proceeded to explain to him and paint his mind with various images and information on this camp. He explained that the real deal would be in passing this camp and forming an elite team. Here was where the importance laid, if he could succeed at this camp by forming a great team, everyone would benefit. The reason being was that an elite team formed from the best of each city would be a force to reckon with. With 6 months of mandatory instruction from the predecesor, they would for sure surpass the teams or classmates from other cities. Furthermore, not all top students from each cities' school were guaranteed a spot with a team and therefore, pass the camp process. Not only was it important to be strong individually, but this camp also tested the teamwork and overall superiority to operate within a team in order to achieve one's goals.

Joe Jaquin: "Jolin, don't worry about us or your cousins, you are still young, and by the time you older cousin requires your assistance more, you will be able to help him more. You will gain prestige if you form an intercity team and form close ties with those members. This could be used in the future to help your house. Not only that but you will have become superior and when you come back, can help lead your house's soldiers. If a house has a great warrior, even in hard times, this will be a contributing factor in staying in power."

Hearing this, Jolin fae breathed a sigh of relief. After seeing his twin siblings score at the academy and their rise in maturity, he felt more at ease leaving father alone with just the twins to help. He also knew that his uncle Faery was still relatively young and that he wasn't too pressured yet into helping Matrin Faery take the role of lord of the house. Of course, the sooner Matrin and Jolin formed a closer relationship, the better. However good the Royal academy was at their city, the Intercity team offered greater opportunities and chances that could make a difference in the future. He also did not feel too sad because he knew someone else at least, Grace. With Grace, he wouldn't have to worry to much about being lonely the first days and he also hoped that they could be in the same team and work together.

At Grace Falander's place, whilst the father was happy for this selection honor, he was also conflicted internally. Grace had always been the clear cut favorite to inherit the house. Even if this was a great opportunity to advance nationally, it could also derail an heir, who should also be well versed in everything. With great opportunities and learning experiences came risks. Since she had made her decision, he wouldn't object and knew that her other priority was to come back and rule. He just hoped that she wouldn't live the pure martial arts way. After all, an heir and lord still needed to be the greatest fighters in their house in case they needed to step out and help. In the past, when wars had broken out, those lords who were the best warriors had been able to defend their houses and cities even after sending most of their troops into the fighting cause. This house allowed them to retain their status and defend against invaders. Amongst his children and amidst her age group at the academy, his beloved Grace was indeed a prodigy. He gave her his blessing and informed the whole family of this special event.

At this moment in time, something extraordinary was beginning to take shape in various treasure room vaults across various cities, more specifically the rooms that contained the SHR's(Special House rings) of those noble houses.
