"What the hell!"
Acyuta muttered to himself, it had been more than two hours since he arrived at this school. He sat on chair opposite what suppose to be a reception area, the only problem is that there is no receptionist.
When Acyuta first arrived here under Tasha's guidance he did expect to wait a while before being tested, after all he had just arrived out of the blue. It would be natural for the persons in charge to take some time to get their things together.
"But two hours to wait and still no one has arrived, not even the receptionist was here when I came in."
Even though Acyuta was complaining he not once showed restlessness in his outer appearance, in fact he was quite calm, too calm in fact. Sitting on the chair, having his right leg crossed over his left thigh, he seemed to be the epitome of patience.
Little did he know that the test had already started.
Out on a different room three persons where observing the man on the chair. One of them was the girl in a black kimono, Tasha, as for the other two, they were not in the same generation as her. The two were teachers and one of them had a special place in her heart for Tasha.
"We've waited for quite some time, don't you think so?" Said one if the teachers, she spoke very fluently. Retrieving her vision from the one on the chair she looked at the other.
"I can't explain it but the aura of death is fairly strong. The way he is sitting there, waiting... feels so-"
"Creepy?"
"Yes, Lady Ivanna."
Ivanna had also been sitting on a chair, ankles overlapping and tucked under her, she portrayed the etiquette that an elegant woman should have. Both hands rested on her lap, covered in long white gloves and the dress worn by her hugged every inch of skin that covered her voluptuous body.
Carrying an air of authority she spoke. "I have already noted this lad's deathly aura long before he entered the reception area, it was actually the headmaster that sent me here to investigate. But I can't find any flaw in him, let's proceed with a written examination, Clark."
"Yes, Lady Ivanna." replied Clark who stood adjacent to the attractive lady beside him. He turned to the door and left the room promptly.
With only two left in the room, Ivanna turned to the girl standing at her side. She smiled at Tasha teasingly.
"Tasha, dear, you've met such a handsome young man." Ivanna teased.
"W-w-what are you saying, m-master?"
The young mage in the kimono dress had her face redden as she embarrassingly replied. It was not that the teasing of Lady Ivanna was effective, rather, Tasha unconsciously remembered her confrontation with the youth named Acyuta. She remembered the seen when she first met him, he unexpectedly was wearing a rag around his waist. There was some point when she clearly seen what was under that cloth.
"M-M-Master, you making me think of bad things!"
"Hoh! Does my innocent disciple have bad things in her heart?" Asked Ivanna, curious as to how her diligent student came to be influenced by someone she just met.
"No matter, let's see what this lad has to put on the table." Ivanna added. She returned her gaze back to the magical screen, observing Acyuta once again.
In the reception room where Acyuta was stationed for some time, finally someone had come to meet with him. He was relieved. If he had waited any longer he would have chosen to leave Craft's Academy.
The man that appeared dressed in a neat suit, in a hand he held a little stack of papers. He didn't say much after making a greeting, in the next moment the stack of papers were in Acyuta's hands.
The man named Clark went behind the reception counter and sat. Acyuta on the other hand understood what he needed to do but was feeling awkward due to not being invited to a room where he could write properly. "No matter, I can get it done like this no problem."
Acyuta had taken to this exam paper seriously, before even starting to write he read through all the questions.
Dumbfounded!
That's what he felt, he had no idea how to answer the questions. He had no practical knowledge about the current era he was living in except for whatever he heard from Tasha. 'Where is she?' He thought, this was the girl he was most familiar with since waking up.
Not all the questions were bad, those based on things he understood, he answered.
'Looks like I won't be a student here in this school.' Disappointed at himself. "Oh well." He sighed.
Acyuta didn't know how long he had till he had to hand over his paper. He didn't just give in and give up though. He looked through the questions that were magic related, trying to use his experience with Tasha's abilities as a basis made an attempt to answer. His pen came down to page, as he was about to write what he was thinking, a different answer was jotted onto the page.
'What was this?' Acyuta gasped quietly. It wasn't just that the answer appeared on the page, the knowledge seemed to just pop into his mind. This he knew for sure wasn't his own understanding, which in turn made him feel more assured that his unusual potency was definitely related to those ghastly beings in the valley of death.
.....
After some time Acyuta handed back the the examination papers. Clark
received it promptly and left the area. Almost immediately he returned.
"My pen... is still with you."
"Huh! Sorry about that." Acyuta said, pulling the pen off his collar. He handed it to Clark.
Again the teacher disappeared, leaving Acyuta to himself. Acyuta went back to his chair, again taking his seat waiting for the results.
Had he known that he was being observed, who knows what he may have done. The probability of him pretending to be cool was highly possible.
