Rowan Ashikaga is a 15-year-old orphan who strives for recognition and wants to be the strongest wizard in the world. 19 years ago, demons took control over Keleth. It wasn't until 4 years later that the Haruko, the world's strongest wizard, sacrificed her life to seal the demons away. In order for Rowan to achieve his dreams, he will first have to get in the Neshari Academy, the nation's best wizard academy. New chapters come out every Friday. This is my first book, so please feel free to criticize me on what I am missing.
The world is in hell. The demons have taken over Keleth for almost four years. No one knows why they appeared, but the Alphas suggested that the demons were summoned somehow. They don't know if it was a group or just one person. But they knew one thing for sure: they have to seal them back in the Underworld. It seemed like it was impossible to end the conquest of the demons. Nevertheless, on one fateful day, Occleau's Haruko, Occleau's strongest wizard, sacrificed her life to seal all of the demons away.
On the stormy day the Haruko sealed the demons, Aoyama Williams was running back to the orphanage. Mud splattered his dress shoes and pants. He had just opened an orphanage about a week ago, and there were no children so far. He had worked in a different orphanage for almost ten years, but Aoyama wanted to have his own orphanage. Then, Aoyama saw it. There was a basket near a bush, but it wasn't just any basket. It was a basket with two babies inside it.
Aoyama halted and went near the bush. He carefully walked over to the basket, making sure he doesn't trip. He then knelt beside the basket and saw two beautiful babies. One was a girl and one was a boy. The rain dripped on their round heads. They were both sleeping peacefully.
"Null Creation: Shelter of Leaves," chanted Aoyama. He didn't want the children getting cold, so he casted a spell. Leaves appeared out of thin air and covered Aoyama and the two babies. Aoyama looked at the babies again.
One had messy black hair and one had pure white hair. The one with the black hair has a moonstone necklace and the one with white hair has an onyx necklace. At first, Aoyama thought that the babies weren't related. However, when Aoyama looked more carefully at the babies, he realized that they were twins. They had the same face, same nose, same mouth.
Aoyama then noticed a folded piece of paper between the twins. He gently grabbed it and was surprised to see that it wasn't wet. The paper was a piece of folded parchment, it felt rough, but smooth on Aoyama's hands. He then unfolded the paper and read it.
The note read: 'The girl shall be called Yui and the boy will be Rowan. -Ashikaga'
"Ashikaga? I thought I heard of this name before," said Aoyama. "Well, what a lucky day for me. Yui Ashikaga and Rowan Ashikaga, welcome to the Williams Orphanage!" Aoyama smiled contentedly as he carried the basket to his orphanage.
