Showing Someone His Path

"He wants us to bring him to the captain?" A guard said as quietly as possible, he didn't want Mark to overhear him.

Unfortunately for the guard, Mark did manage to hear him as he appeared before the guard with the speed of light.

"Did you say something?" Mark asked with an intrigued face while placing his arm around the guard's neck as if they were brothers.

"Yes, I can bring you to the captain!" The guard quickly explained as he saw Mark's arm around the back of his neck. He had cold sweat running down his spine.

"Show me the way!" Mark said as he waved his hand in front of him, then suddenly something truly magical happened as the air before Mark's and the guard became chaotic as if a gate had opened up before him.

Mark didn't just sit still before as he was secretly trying to figure out his abilities from the mixed devil fruit and he succeeded in making small progress. The abilities he could use seemed to involve around the concept of "void" and "Chaos"

"What the hell is that?? I won't go inside of that gate!" The guard yelled frightfully as he pointed at the chaotic crack before him which had a lingering touch of darkness and light mixed together.

"Well, you kind of have too," Mark said with a grin on his face as he pushed the guard inside of the gate and walked in after him.

"Wait!" Richard immediately screamed in panic when he saw Mark who was about to disappear.

"What's up?" Mark turned his head around towards Richard as he asked with a friendly smile.

"You can't fight the golden lion, he is really strong!" Richard said while clenching his fist in despair, the golden lion had suddenly appeared on the island one day and terrorized the entire island, he and his mad doctor experimented on the people of the island including Richard's mother who died of these experiments.

He didn't want Mark who he had just met and considered a friend to also die in his hands.

"Haha, I'm not some weakling! I'm going to become the greatest pirate out there! Soon enough" Mark pointed towards the docks and the ocean which he could see a hundred meters away from their position.

"The greatest pirate?" Richard had a curious and pondering look on his face when he heard Mark's words.

"Why a pirate?" Richard asked with a puzzled look. He didn't understand why a powerful man like Mark would choose to become a pirate.

"Because of freedom! The future is not a gift, but an achievement, understand?" Mark said with an influential voice.

Richard didn't seem to understand but he still looked at Mark with burning eyes.

He never considered becoming a pirate, he felt like the only thing they ever did was plunder island's and kill innocent people.

Mark looked at Richard for a moment, this must have been how Shanks had made a great impact on Luffy. This feeling was quite excellent, imagining this kid fighting Luffy some years later made Mark excited.

Shank's investment vs Mark's investment who would win? Yeah, Luffy probably had the advantage right now but who knew what would happen in a couple of years later, perhaps Richard D. Worley would become an emperor standing side by side with Mark.

"Aim high boy! I believe in you!" Mark said with a smile as he walked over to Richard and patted him on the head.

"Haha, I will see you on the great stage one day." Mark laughed as he walked away. These words were taking directly from Shanks but Mark didn't care at all.

Richard's eyes immediate brightened as he heard Mark's words, he then clenched his fist as he looked at Mark with an determined look.

"I'm sorry uncle but I am the one who will become the greatest pirate of all time!" Richard screamed towards the sky as he clenched his hands in anticipation.

"Hahaha!" Mark's laugh rang out as he walked back into the chaotic gate as he disappeared.

Mark didn't have any idea of how much he had influenced Richard as the boy immediately ran over to the docks after seeing the leaving figure of Mark.

"Wait, Richard!" The noise boy screamed as he rushed after Richard.

"Wait, for me too!" The little girl screamed as she ran after Richard.

A couple of seconds later.

"Arrgh!" A guard could be seen thrown out from a crack that appeared inside of the huge majestic palace.

"What is that crack!!?" Some guards uttered with shocked and terrified expressions.

"What is that!?" Indigo screamed in a panic, this man had a clown-like appearance.

"It looks terrifying!" A large lion-like figure answered, his name was Silver and he was a high ranking member of the golden lion pirates.

Mark came out from the crack which then began to close slowly.

"Where is Shiki?" Mark asked with a cold and calm voice.

"Piro piro piro! Who are you and how dare you act so disrespectful!?" Indigo laughed in an annoying manner as he pointed at Mark.

After noticing Mark appeared out from the crack, he wasn't so surprised anymore. He knew about the devil fruits and their mysterious powers.

Mark didn't want to waste any words on Indigo as he flashed from his position in the speed of light an appeared in front of Indigo's face.

Indigo couldn't react as Mark placed his hand on his head.

"You're the mad doctor, everyone talks about I presume?" Mark said indifferently as his hand devoured the face of Indigo.

"What!?" Silver was shocked, Indigo didn't react fast enough to defend himself as he was killed in an instant.

Mark didn't stop there either as he flashed before Silver and placed his hand on his face.

But before Mark could kill Silver a slash came flying towards him.

Mark didn't dodge the slash as it went straight through his body. Mark's entire body became space like transparent as only his gold eyes could be seen flashing.
