Hybrid Lane

Louie was a bit sad at first but when he heard the numbers that Arthur selected, he quickly brightened up.

The supervisor got to work very fast and separated the chosen ones, then lead the others away.

Christian did not even flinch when his grandson selected the slaves. Others would certainly complain,but it is quite the opposite for Christian.

Arthur chose to sit down and wait for the supervisor to return with the bill. The chosen slaves stood erect in place where Louie directed them to be. Although almost all of them had sad faces, others were just satisfied to be chosen. During their wait, an unexpected thing happened. The slave who holds the number 3, a young boy who is atleast fifteen years of age, broke out of his group and knelt down in front of Arthur.

"Sir please, this must be a bit weird for someone, a slave like me to say but I hope you can trust me and agree to one request. Please buy my elder sister too. She is not here because she is a hybrid."

"What do I get in return for trusting you?"

"My undying loyalty, my elder sister's undying loyalty, I can promise you that."

"I already own you, your loyalty already belongs to me. If not so, then I will just kill you and waste money."

The young did not reply again and just maintained his position with a pleading gaze.

Arthur really don't want to bother himself with this. Buying another slave is still okay however granting a wish from a slave seems to be a bit unappropriate.

He was ready to decline but Argon stopped him and told him to agree. He is hesitant but decided to believe in Argon.

"Fine then. However, in one condition, your sister must be the one who will tell me whether she intends to give me her loyalty or not. Even as a family member, you have no right to say such things for her."

Louie came back with the bill and he was stunned to see such an event. When Christian saw him dazed, he quickly went near him and ask the amount to be paid.

A staggering price of 430,000 gold coins were placed as the final fee and Christian paid it like nothing.

"Please send the others to the Zell family estate after they are finished with slave tattoo engraving and let this one go first and have him join us in the premium store on the hybrid lane".

"Ofcourse."

Arthur wasted no time and went his way to the Hybrid Lane. When they got there, just like in the previous store, they were led to the viewing area. Unlike the other, this viewing is smaller but the furniture looked very stylish and more comfortable.

"Master, this place is a bit closer to the auction houses. May I proceed on scanning the whole area?"

"Go on. You can start tracing the place where the skill seeds are stored. As long as you can, mark the persons who go in and out of there. Take as much information as you can" (Arthur)

"Yes Master". (Argon)

It took a bit more time when the supervisor in charge of the store arrived with the young slave from the Mortal Lane.

"Good day gentlemen, I am Rhoan. Mr. Louie already filled me in with the details of your visit to our humble store. Pardon me for my swift actions but I already arranged for the slave to be presented to you in a moment. May I suggest to present to you some of our products as well?"

Arthur decided to agree on Rhoan's suggestion,however, only for ten more slaves with requirements that he gave with Louie. The supervisor happily went out again after serving food and drinks, which is more luxurious than the previous.

"Sit down and eat, kid. We are so full I can't even look at the food served here." As someone who owns many high class restaurants, Christian never lacked the taste of delicious food. Noticing that his grandson never cared for the food either, ot is better to not waste it so he invited the young slave.

"May I take some of it for later. I don't know if my elder sister already ate so, I may as well save it for her."

"No need. It is not yet decided if I will buy your sister. Remember, she needs to be the one to offer her loyalty, but even then, I may not buy her. I do not care for things that won't benefit me."

"I understand sir". The young slave prayed that her elder sister may not be too stubborn about this.

Arthur may seem relaxed but there is this feeling of unease that he kept getting after he arrived here. He was ready to counterattack immediately to any incoming hostile intentions so he was not really bothered too much about it, but it is annoying to some extent.

"Sorry for the delay. Gentlemen, this is the one you wanted to see."

After a few more minutes, Rhoan came back with a young girl which is a bit tall for her age. Her hair was blonde and her skin is white. If anything could describe the physique of this little lady, then no one would complain to say that she is a little sudectress.

"Are you kidding me? Is this really your elder sister?"

"Sir I am positive of this. I don't know the specifics but my parents came back with her when I was still little. I never lied to you that she is my elder sister, I just forgot to tell you we are not blood related."
