The Curse of White Princess

'Ah...that was the last time I could see her crying face' I regreted, that I couldn't see her again...

'I'm sorry Emma, in the end...I died'

My best friend Emma and I were together since kindergarten. Our lives were full of ups and downs, happy and sad moments, broken hearts and crepes for their smoothing.

We enjoyed life like normal highschool girls would. Two bums that were just like sisters, always together. Today as well.

I loved to sing in our town's karaoke club and as any best friend would, Emma suggested to go along. Little did I know, that it was be my last karaoke night...

On our was home, while crossing the street a car suddenly appeared and speeded through red light. As it was about to hit us, all I could do was to push Emma to the side. But...I myself didn't make it.

Getting hit by a car hurt. Like a lot...

As I landed, I felt my consciousness fading. Emma scream came to my ears as she ran towards my unmoving body. Tears falling from her beautiful blue eyes.

"Call the ambulance!" she screamed at passerby people as she ran.

Arriving at my side, she held my hand. But I couldn't feel it.

I couldn't feel her warmth hand. My eyelids were heavy.

"Please! Please!" she cried beside me.

"You idiot! Why did you saved only me!" her tears fell on my face.

"Why-...idiot!" I heard only part of it. My sences were getting duller and duller. Her tears didn't stop.

Several people ran to us, trying to help. All I could do is watch. My body didn't move. I tried to smile to reassure her, but couldn't.

She leaned more in front of my face, still crying. As one of her tears fell on my head, I lost consciousness. The last sentence I heard from Emma was "...please live!"

Yes, that was the last sentence that I heard.

Right now, I'm in a dark room. I couldn't smell anything, I couldn't see anything, I couldn't feel anything.

Waiting for death, all I could do was to give up.

'I wish we could see her again' the only regret I had. Leaving her crying was the worst way to leave.

All I could do now was wait for my death. The time was flying by as I remembered the happy moments of my life, in every one of them, Emma was present.

The time when we sneaked out of our houses just to visit a party, the time I fell ill and she came to nurse me or even the time when we dived into the sea and found two perals that later became pendants. We were together more than me and my brother.

'Ah...I wonder how they are doing' my family, friends...

I couldn't tell how long it has been.

As I was about to compain a white dot came to my vision. The white dot grew bigger and bigger and stopped in size of a fist.

Just then, it bursted.

Flash of light illuminated the dark room. And in a next moment, I heard someone's voice.

"Congratulations! It's a girl!"
