The night was young and so was Tral. He felt no need to bring Darick along for this slaughter, he could tell that his friend had no taste for what was to happen but he definitely did now.
He poised at the edge of the cliff overlooking the village. Taking a deep breath he didn't need to breath but to revel in the smell of his prey.
With a leap he dives off the edge to slowly fall past the edge off town elegantly landing on a roof without a sound crouched before he sprints across the top of the village huts aiming for his main goal, a larger hut on a hill by the center of town.
This served as a temple of sorts where the shaman lived and worked. It took little time for Tral to get in there and hardly any effort to break through the roof without a sound.
He could smell the shaman but the place was full of strong odors that matched the old ladie's.
It didn't matter though as she revealed herself with a remark.
"It's been a long time since I've had such a guest vampire. I assume you want my blood but you seem a little immature to just walk into an alchemists den… a young fool acting out his desires without thought." The shaman spoke calmly from a chair across the room.
Tral swivels sharply in her direction. A smile spread across his face. "young yes, a fool yes but I have quite the thoughts. For one, you are much smarter then what these villagers know and two… well if you thought to throw a concoction or drink a poison against me so I couldn't drink you but what would stop me from dropping a new mountain on this place while I die?"
At this the shaman cocks her head. "Now you really have peaked my interest. How would you drop a mountain from here… No it doesn't matter, some personal power I assume to trigger a slide. You came for knowledge but I still am not sure why young blood?"
Tral paces a distance from her watching intently "Oh I'm not talking about a slide and I think you heard me correctly blind old bat. I don't need to drink you technically and have yet to kill anyone here but I do need medical and scientific knowledge to create life which you definitely have."
The shaman nodded with understanding at that but then shook her head in disbelief "You are the creator the church is so desperate to find yet you became like this for power? Knowledge? The knowledge to gain power but for what end? What you have seen of the church is just for show. The power they wield is beyond imagination even an army won't do you good nor your pathetic new vampire strength that comes at the cost of great weakness."
Tral stopped his pacing at this. "I need to save my family at all costs. It is the only goal that matters to me and an old man who is beyond imagining told me to go to a place that is beyond reason where an being, my new sire that was older then these mountains called that man old… so please go on about the limits of conception or we can talk about real practical knowledge."
The shaman sighs at this "the old one that wanders where he needs to be and does what his fate decides.. If he is supporting you to this extent then you are part of his making of fate thus am I and there is no escaping his fate. Since that is the case you can take my blood for what good it will do for you but if you need biology then my understanding is not enough.. there is a doctor in the city of Kalsar on an island to the south. He is mad as can be but there is no other better in the field available to you."
With this she pulls out a vial and a knife which swiftly slashes her palm to fill the vial before sealing it with cork and tossing it to him. "Drink it while it's fresh but if you still want to rest you can try this old woman as she will take what fate she can into her own hands."
Tral nodded his head and quickly drank the vial dry.
With a look of satisfaction on his face as he reveled in the knowledge of a lifetime.
"you plan to poison yourself from me with the time gained from a powder bomb at your side.. it wouldn't work.. you know that too deep down as well yet you're in luck, my friend asked me to kill as little as possible so please enjoy your retirement in this peaceful village." Tral says as he turns around waiting only for a moment before leaping through the hole in the ceiling and he was gone from the village before anyone else know what happened.
