The Revelation

A couple of days had passed like a blink of an eye. Now is the third day since the Bella Collection Fashion Show ended.

Shun was staring at his table. The folders that piling up are now one by one out of his sight. Thanks to the help of Meisha and Vice President Lim that came back to the country yesterday, his workload divided.

But still, there is something not seems right. It's been three days since Cassie did not send him even just one text message. Shun is twirling his pen between his fingers and his secretary silently standing in front of his office table, patiently waiting for his order.

Her boss has been distracted all day. Marie thought of it. She's wondering what her boss was thinking? Is he thinking about Miss Olivia?

These passing two days, all the headline news is about her boss and that cruise liner heiress. And an ordinary person like her is no match for that woman. Although she doesn't like Olivia, she was beautiful and wealthy. The possibilities are high that her boss chose someone like her for the sake of business.

"Um, President Crow?" Marie tried to get her boss's attention.

"Oh, Marie. Do you need anything?"

Finally, her boss came back to his senses. Did he not notice when she enters the office?

"I just want to ask, President Crow if when do you like to reschedule your dinner meeting tonight?"

"If my lunch tomorrow is available, then just move it there," coldly, he instructed his secretary.

"Okay, boss, that's all I wanted to verify." Because she wanted to get out of this room. She was like, there is a bucket of ice cubes pouring on her.

"You can now leave," Shun dismissed his secretary.

"Okay, boss," she bowed then step out of the room the fastest she could. Marie heaved a long sighed after she gets out of the office.

What's wrong with her boss again? She thought.

"Marie, is the President was available?"

Marie was startled when someone suddenly talked in front of her. "Director Lawrence! Ah yes, he is!" stuttering, she replied.

Kier looked at her. The way she is reacting, it looks like the boss is not in a good mood. Kier glances at the folder he is holding, he has to report this no matter what. He knocks twice on the door before he entered.

Woah. Why this room is too cold? He thought.

"Hey!"

Shun looks up and glances at him then his gaze goes back to the document he is reviewing. Kier thought, 'wow, he was just like looking at a ghost, invisible ones'. Kier invited himself to sit down in the empty seats near the office table.

"Ahem. Here's the appraisal of the house that Cassie's aunt purchased in Hawaii."

Shun takes the folder from Kier's hand and read the details. The sum is 1.2 million dollars, that's a lot. Cassie could buy the Villa back.

"What's your plan?" Kier queried the boss.

"Cassie still a minor, and according to the documents we have, she will just able to get the 400 thousand dollars in her father's account at the Bank of America when she turned 21 years old."

"If we include the amount we got from the auction, Cassandra has a total of 2.9 million dollars," Shun added.

Kier whistles. If it converts to their currency, it was really a lot. "That set aside of the bonds her father inherited from her grandfather. But then, when do you plan to tell her about it?"

Shun did not answer. Kier's phone rings. He looked at his phone screen, the caller was a friend of him living in the US, a lawyer like him.

"I have to answer this," he said. "Hello, Walter?"

Kier listens to the other line. "Okay, wait. I'll open my Tab."

Kier opens his Tab PC and checks his email. Scanning the documents, he resumes talking to the other line.

"Okay, I'm reading it now. Thank you. Thank you very much. Yes. Did you receive the wired money? Okay. That's great. Bye."

Kier rose from his chair and went to the printer machine just inside in this office, and took the documents he printed then handed it to Shun.

Anger registered on Shun's face. He read the rest of the statement.

"Looks like Lydia trying hard to make her way to claim it. Fortunately, the court did not accept her appeal, and she wasn't granted as Cassie's guardian."

"Of course, this a huge sum of money. $2.4 million Life Insurance of her father. Aside from that 400,000 dollars at American Bank, Lydia could get a lot more once she was granted as Cassandra's guardian."

"Good thing we are able to set her up."

"Yeah, and make sure they can't make bailout," Shun instructed.

"Of course, she has to face multiple cases. What do you plan about it?" Kier asked again. "Walter said, we could appeal to the court if we wanted to, and we present Cassie personally. But, we can have another choice. We can transfer them to her father's bonds, the Stocks are doing good."

Shun stare at him. "Then what are you doing here? You can start packing and you can bring Jean for your honeymoon."

Kier scratches his temple. "I think, you are the one who should take a leave."

"What?"

"You are the one who seems to need a vacation."

Shun did not answer but contemplates about what Kier's suggestion. He sighed. "There are lots of things I have to finish up before I go back to the island."

Kier was about to reply when someone knocks on the door. Matt entered the room that made Kier wonder.

"Matt? What are you doing here?"

"To give my report, of course."

Kier looks at Shun confusingly.

"I assigned him to investigate something for me."

"Yes, and here are the documents I was able to gather, brother Shun," Matt handed the folder to Shun.

Kier kicked the chair Matt seated at. "You should address the boss when we are at the office! We're not in the house!"

"What!? Why did you suddenly bully me?" Matt complained. Shun just shook his head listening to these siblings.

"What is it?" he asked Matt afterward.

Matt just shrugged his shoulder. Kier attempted to kick his chair.

"Brother Shun! This man is hurting me!"

"What is this? The two of you have guts to turn the President's Office as a playground?" said of a man who entered the room without knocking, then fixes his glass.

"Brother Rudolf! I missed you!" Matt runs towards him then hide behind. "My brother by blood is such a bully."

Kier just rolled his eyes. His siblings are already nosy about his friends when they hang out at Lawrence's residence.

Rudolf sits at the chair Matt took earlier, which he chooses to stand behind Rudolf to distant from his brother.

Shun place down the folder after he finishes reading the documents. But he stayed silent. He rose from his chair and went to the sofa. The other men followed him and seated across him.

After everyone settled down, he gestured Matt to speak. Matt nodded and began sharing his investigation with the UKG Developer Company.

"I found out, the old Young invested a huge amount to Mr. Kang to begin a construction firm. James Young went back to the US, left the old Mr. Kang to manage the firm until it grows. Because the old Young more concentrated on working as a surgeon and has no interest in running a business, Mr. Kang completely handle the firm all by himself. Then James Young got married and stayed in the US because his wife has a weak body. Later on, his wife conceived to a son, that is Cassandra's father."

Shun's face scowled when Matt called Cassie with her true name. Kier elbowed his brother, and he wanted to drown him right now. Matt sighed, he forgets that it was forbidden for them to say Cassie's first name.

Meisha now joined them, seated quietly to the empty seat at Shun's left couch. So then, Matt continued.

"James planned to come back, and want to begin a new life. He decided to go home at Hiryuu Island. Originally, it was Cass-- Cassie's grandfather to farm the desert land in Hiryuu Island, and to build a coastal house for his wife who has a weak body."

"It makes Mr. Kang anxious about, but James Young's wife's doctor did not her to travel that far yet as she has to be fully treated. Until James forgot to come back and the construction firm becomes the International UKG Developer, this is also because of the Crow Corporation investment and G Group."

"Wait, are you telling now that Cassie's father did not know about it yet?" Kier asked.

"No and yes. James died when Landon is 6 years old. His mother knew nothing as well. He just learned about it when Cassie turning 12 years old. He went to the company to get what is for his father. But Mr. Kang is dead for a year already, and the company was left to his son, Julius Kang."

"Are you saying that Cassie's parents are murdered and not by accident?" Rudolf who's now giving an opinion.

"Yes! My team is on it. It proves only, that the Kang has the interest to murder them. Most especially, that Cassie's father wins his appeal of taking part in the company," Matt added.

It shocked them all, except for Shun.

"To these days, Crow Corporation has 20% shares in the company. The G Group own 15% shares and the Kang took 30% shares. When it began, originally, they only have 35% shares and 65% shares by James Young's investment. As the stocks skyrocketed each year, the worth of the shares is now a hundred times," Shun asserted.

"It means, right now the condition of the shares, the Young owns 35% of the company," Matt revealed.

"Meaning, Cassie is the CEO of the UKG Company," Kier concluded.

"Where is Daichi?" Shun asked afterward.

"He said, there's someone he has to meet very importantly at North Harbor," Meisha who responded.

"I want to add more people to the island. Cassandra shouldn't leave the island. The Kang is aware that Landon Young made his Will before they go back to Hiryuu Island, stating that his daughter could take everything when she is 21 years old if he died. The Kang won't wait for Cassandra to reach that age."

"The reason you did not take her to the Fashion Show is because of this right?"

Shun did not reply.

Ah, am not really familiar about stocks, life insurances, shares, about business, etc... I just type down what pops up in my head. If I made a mistake then please bear of it. I don't want to ask my source... my husband... lol
