First day - Balance 4a

I started to gather my supplies for my class when I hear a chime from the scroll again. I walk over to my scroll and as soon as I touched it, it opened up. The scroll said *your class is late as late can be, don't be a fool to hesitate. Balance is hard and is hard to see, the true balance is beneath thee. Your class starts at 10 and don't be late, you've been postponed for a date.*

"What does that mean?" I thought to myself.

*It means your class starts at 10 instead of 8.* said the scroll.

"You can read my thoughts?! That's weird!" I jumped back when it answered my question.

I headed out to meet up with Phoenix. "Hey Phoenix! What you doing? What class did you get into? I got Balance and apparently my class doesn't start till 10 now."

"I'm just finishing up my orange juice and then gonna head to class. Why isn't your class until 10 now? Oh and I got Myth." said Phoenix.

"I don't know, my scroll had chimed again and said that it got postponed until 10. What do you think Kyle got for his class?" as soon as I asked that question Kyle bumped into us.

"Hey guys! Where you heading? I got into fire class." said Kyle.

"I got Balance," said Micah.

"I got into Myth," said Phoenix. "I'm heading to my class right now. So see ya later!"

"I'm heading to class too so I'll catch up with you guys later!" Kyle said.

While I waited for 10 o'clock to come around I decided to take a stroll around the school. I headed outside near my classroom when I heard a voice from near by. "Young student what is your name?" the mysterious voice asked. I looked around and didn't see anything there. I walked around to where I heard the voice and it said it again, "Young student what is your name?" I looked around some more and I noticed a midsize tree staring at me.

"Were you the one that just talked to me?" I asked.

"Yes. What is your name young student?" asked the tree.

"I'm Micah Balancestorm. Why do you ask?" I just stood there staring back at him.

"I am the Balance tree Niles. I am part of your class. Do you have any questions for me?"

"How do you help us? And are there other trees that talk for the other classes too?"

"I help you in training, in gaining levels, in spell learning, in gaining points, and yes there is a tree for each school that is taught here just like me. Any more questions?" asked Niles.

I asked him, "do you know why my class was postponed until 10 this morning instead of starting at 8 o'clock?"

His leaves glowed showing my professor, "It seems to me that your professor isn't doing good and that he needed some extra time to get ready for his class today." It showed my professor in his office messing around with papers making sure he had them all organized, and he ended up making them all jumbled.

"Well it's getting close to be 10 o'clock so I'm gonna head to class now. Thanks for answering my questions Niles! I'll see you again later!" I waved goodbye, and he waved his leaves at me as I walked away. As I got into class I found a seat near the front by the window and the professor wasn't here yet.

A couple minutes later the professor came stumbling in, "good morning class, sorry for the delay in class for today. I had some trouble this morning getting here."

"I'm your professor Mr. Wethersfield. I'll be your professor for this semester. First, we must begin by getting your wand. Please come up row by row to chose a wand from this box. When you get up to the box it will look empty, but when you stick your hand in it your chosen wand will appear in your hand. Alright lets line up! Row one come on up!" I stood and had to wait for the first 4 students to get their wands. Once I was finally up there I stuck my hand in, and once I felt a wand on my hand I pulled it out. It was a dagger shaped wand with a dark red pointed gem at the top. I went and sat back down.

Once everyone got back to their seats he began teaching his lesson for today. "Okay everyone! Now that you have all gathered a wand to begin with, you shall start your first assignment. Open your book *Magic of Balance* to page 55 I want you to choose 4 spells to train on for your first test a week from today. If you pass the test you will gain a point to continue forward, If you fail you must wait another week to try again. After you have chosen the spell from page 55, turn to page 6 and chose one healing spell that you will use to begin with on healing. Once you chose your spells you are free to go for the day and start training either in our Balance tower or in Unicorn Faris. I'll stop babbling now and let you get to your work, if you have any questions feel free to ask!"

I opened my book to page 55 and started looking through the spells:

Balance blade, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, +25% next damage spell

Balance Mantle, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, -45% accuracy

Elemental Shield, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, -50% Fire, Ice, Storm damage

Hex, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, +30% next damage spell

Precision, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, +10% accuracy

Spirit Shield, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, -50% Death, Life, Myth damage

Weakness, Level 1, 90% accuracy, 0 Mite, -25% damage spell

Blade storm, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, +20% damage to all friends

Elemental Blade, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, +35% Ice, Storm, Fire damage

Elemental Trap, Level 1, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, +25% Ice, Storm, Fire damage

Scarab, Level 1, 85% accuracy, 1 Mite, 65-105 balance damage

After looking through the spells I decided to narrow it down to: Hex, Blade Storm, Elemental Shield, Spirit Shield, Elemental Blade, Spirit Blade, Scorpion, and Precision. I think I'm going to try Hex, Scorpion, Elemental blade, and Spirit blade. I start reading the chant for Hex: "Hex, Hex, give it six, and give the mix" it started glowing next thing I knew there was a grey spiked shield spinning around in front of me -0 Mite. "Cool!" Next, I tried Scorpion: "The sting, the hurt, the pain, it lurked, bring it now, and bring it here, let the scorpion enter near." Once again it started glowing and a scorpion popped up in front of me -2 Mite. "Cool, it worked!" Then, I tried Elemental blade: "Blade, Blade, hear and now, Come forth, and hear the crowd." Next thing you knew there were three shields with blades and the color of the three schools spinning around in front of me -1 Mite. Finally, I tried out the Spirit blade: "Blade of night, blade of light, bring you forth, come day and night." Once again the three shields with blades on them and the colors of the schools started spinning in front of me -1 Mite. "Cool, I think I have my 4 normal spells now. Now lets take a look at the healing spells."

After I chose my 4 spells I looked through the list of healing spells on page 6:

Drain Health, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, Sacrifice Minion for 450 heal

Draw Health, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, Sacrifice Minion for 350 heal

Fairy, 100% accuracy, 2 Mite, 480 heal

Gobble, 100% accuracy, 2 Mite, 400 heal

Healing current, 100% accuracy, 2 Mite, 100, 400, 1000 heal

Life bat, 90% accuracy, 2 Mite, 10+90 heal over three rounds for team

Pixie, 100% accuracy, 2 Mite, 400 heal self only

Rebirth, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, 730 heal + absorb 450 shield to all allies

Satyr, 100% accuracy, 0 Mite, 5000 heal

Sprite, 90% accuracy, 1 Mite, 50+300 heal over three rounds

Sprite Queen, 100% accuracy, 1 Mite, 60+330 heal over three rounds

Sprite Swarm, 90% accuracy, 2 Mite, 40+360 heal over three rounds to all friends

As I look over the healing spells I decided to narrow it down to four spells: Fairy, Rebirth, Satyr, and Sprite Swarm. Fairy is a good one because I can choose to either heal myself for 480 or someone else who is in the battle helping me, Rebirth because it heals the target with 730 heal and gives everyone else an absorb shield of 450, Satyr because I can use it to heal any allies for 5000 heal, and Sprite Swarm because it heals to all allies a good chunk back.

I've decided I'll try out Rebirth as my healing spells, and Hex, Scorpion, Elemental blade, and Spirit blade as my battle spells.

After I finish gathering my spells together, I grab my books and I head back to my dorm to put my supplies away, and then go and start some training in the Balance tower after taking a 2 hour nap.
