Chapter 22

Jimin had sat at the edge of Jungkooks bed and they stayed there in silence together for a while when Jungkook realised that he had no idea how he got in the hospital.

"Jimin, what happened after the grenade exploded? I can barely remember anything... and how did you get us here?" He asked curiously.

"Well-" Jimin started when the door opened and someone walked in. He was in a police uniform however he looked like he had an important role in his work place. Jungkook looked at him, confused as he turned to Jimin.

"Jimin, I thought that we weren't supposed to get involved with the cops?"

"I know, but he's my friend. His name is Taehyung, Kim Taehyung."

Taehyung looked at them sitting together and smiled as he walked towards them.

"Hello, my name is Kim Taehyung."

"I am Jeon Jungkook."

Taehyung greeted Jimin and they were very friendly with eachother and seemed very close, this made Jungkook slightly jealous.

"Will someone please explain what's going on!" Jungkook said, irritated that no one was telling him anything.

"Okay, I was getting to that." Jimin said. "Firstly, Taehyung and I were childhood friends and we are very good friends, he helped get you to the hospital and he got rid of the grenade. He basically covered up the whole thing. After the grenade exploded, I helped you up and got out of the area, I then called Taehyung. He then got an ambulance to come get us, the doctors are only the people he trusts. No one apart from us three knows about the grenade, apart from the doctor who took out the shrapnel in your leg, but he won't say anything to anyone else so it is fine."

Jungkook processed the information, sitting silently and thinking. He then said, "Well... now this means we have a policeman on our side so that is good. Does he know about..."

"He knows what happened 16 years ago but he doesn't know about what happened recently." Jimin replied. They then decided to tell Taehyung everything so he could assist them.

"... I personally think that that man was the one who threw the grenade at us." Jungkook finished, looking at them.

"I agree." Replied Jimin, as anger started to boil up in him. First the man had killed his mother, now the man had injured Jungkook. "I won't let him get away with this, he hurt two people I love. My mother, and you." Jungkook nodded his head and then he felt another stab of pain shoot up his leg and grimaced.

Taehyung: "Jungkook, you clearly need to rest. I'll leave now." He smiled at both of them and left them together. Jungkook sighed and pinched his nosebridge out of stress.

"Jungkook, I'll stay with you." Jungkook smiled lovingly at him and grabbed his hand, closing it in his. He then kissed his hand gratefully.

"Thank you Jimin. I'm so lucky you're here with me, even after everything that happened."

"Heh, I don't plan on leaving you any time soon, Jungkookie." Jimin smiked at him and put his head on Jungkooks shoulder as Jungkook put his head on top of Jimins head, and then fell asleep in each others arms.
