First monday in the history.

Seven days had passed since David 's coronation, the festival mood started to quiet down, in fact it was starting to quiet down after the fifth day, but the emperor ordered the establishment of sixth day and seventh day of the week as a holiday to rest from work, religious works included, so they got another 2 days off.

Since the festival had ended on the fifth day of the week, the people whether commoner or noble began to go back at their old ways of life. Commoners prepared themselves for when they went back to their hard work, though some may be wanted to rest more and regret that the festival could not continue forever but most people did not mind that much cause they knew that even if life was not easy for them surely their life would only be better if they follow David, at least their endless days of works were granted a breather called weekend. At the same time, some nobles traveled back to their own domain, while some decided to stay in the capital looking for work in the central government aiming to join the upper part of the bureaucracy.

The people inside the royal palace also started to get back on their work but it wasn't like they had holidays anyway. For lower ranking servants and worker in either outer ring of the palace or royal harem, their job was to provide hospitality and attained to the royal family need. As for soldier and knight in the palace, they had to be prepared at all time. Those people and people outside of the palace who had similar jobs may do not have the luxury of the free holiday with food, drinks, and games but they could have it while their shifts were over.

In fact, the common people still unfamiliar with the weekend but they did not hate it and appreciated it but somehow still confused with the words they heard from the emperor on the fifth day of the week.

My citizen, I am your emperor David. My first royal decree is to establish Saturday and Sunday as a holiday called weekend. Listen "In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. Gods created the world in five days, and He rested on the sixth and seventh day. They blessed the sixth and seventh day because it is the days they had rested from all their work. "Therefore, I, as ruler, proclaimed that these two days would be the days that you could rest at homes with your beloved family.

At the time of broadcasted, minister of finance Solo smiled cause he knew the real reason for this since he planed this with David as a first step of lowering the power of the church.

Monday

At the second floor veranda facing the practice field in the west wing permitted only for those of royal family and friends of the royal family. There were four people sat on the chair side by side first from the left was Empress's older sister Merab, the second was Empress Mixal, the third one was David and Solo on his right.

The regular meeting would open every Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9 in the morning until 16 o'clock, but today meeting was finished very early David then urged his friend Solo to have lunch and enjoy the afternoon tea with him while watching his kids and knights playing Polo.

"I know you just want to rest more and smack those old geezer pontiffs face at the same time. However I would agree that somehow those words you spoke three days ago was quite good, your literacy skill is as good as always, your majesty." Solo teased David a little bit about the reason for the weekend.

"Well, I accept that I really want to rest more but the important point was for the good of the people. If they had to work at the church for free on the sixth and seventh day of the week then they would better rest at their home and spend time with their family. Well, at least I agree with your advise and don't include slaves so don't complain. Also, no need for your majesty when we are in private, I once told you when I declared my self king, didn't I?" David didn't tell Solo that he plagiarised those quotes from the Bible, they won't understand anyway.

"Although I already know those words really influencing." David thought.

"Okay, David" Solo said with a smile, he then turned back to the topic of a holiday.

"The holiday was indeed good for the people and even slaves would be under the same treatment as this should be, but there is the issue about slavery which was too hard to deal with at the moment, let's take care of those tick first. However, are you really sure that they are not the true priest who properly do their job? There may be someone of truly devout and that may bring us God's wrath, you know. "

"I'm sure of it, trust me on this one. The light-bringer, Anshar, was a kind and gentle god, you know."

"How could I know? I've never met him. In all of this continent surely you are the only one who has a chance to meet God directly, two gods at that." Solo retorted. " Why would you use my name as the first day of the week? I could predict that future generations will curse me every week."

"It is a coincidence. Trust me, but I would say that it really suit." David grinned at his friend, Solo mon.

"Except for the sixth and seven, I changed my mind and used our friend's names so that people will never forget their deeds and valor forever," David told Solo with a sad voice, reminiscing Solo of their lost friends during the long quest of David.

A brief silent between the two of them stopped when Solo changed the mood by bringing the topic of David's harem teasing him in the process.

"I knew that you already have Mixal as an empress and the slot for queens was filled, but why only open for four. Are you start to lose your vigor?"

"NO! I'm fine, perfectly fine. I just thought that it's was not good for them if I just carelessly took any woman I want left and right. I will consider granting some with the title of the royal concubine if it will bring benefit to my regime, though it is not likely to happen."

Solo moved closer to David and gossiped."It's good that you are still healthy, but too bad that you don't want more women, because lately many nobles came to my manor ask me to introduce their daughters or sisters to you, and some are from demihuman tribe. I know you love that fluffy ear and tail."

"That….Let's talk about that later."

"It seems you two are having fun in talking privately, would you let me join you on this occasion."

"Nothing." Solo smiled to the gorgeous woman sitting at the left side of David.

"Oh! Look my son team has won." David pointed to the field then exclaimed to changed Mixal focus.

"huhu. Either side is your son team, of course, your son team would win." Merab smiled and tried to prevent herself from laughing.

While the mortal word, especially on Noseth, was peaceful, the higher realm was in turmoil.
