His mum eventually becomes extremely worried. How will he juggle his social life and hero time? Is this all just a dream in Leo's mind? Will he be able to protect this magical land?
Leo was officially bored. He comes to the library every day and has read every book that interests him. Leo had just finished reading the very last book in the library that even made him interested in coming to the library in the first place and had just placed it on the shelf. He decided he would go home on his laptop to see if there were any nearby libraries he could visit. He picked up his black jumper from the table and put it on. He grabbed his phone from the table and was beginning to walk to the door. He walked past shelves of books and mysteriously out of nowhere a book fell off the shelf. He jumped from surprise and looked behind him. With a sigh of relief, he realized it was only a book. Leo bent down and picked up the book. He read the title "The other world". He was about to put it back when he saw a red glow from behind the shelf. When he put the book back in place the shelf started shaking and trembling. He thought there was going to be an earthquake and started to duck. Until the bookshelf moved and lowered itself underground. To reveal a long corridor with a red light at the very end. He yelled out for the librarian.
"Hello I think I found something important!"
No one answered. He looked left and right until he made sure no one was looking. Leo walked inside very suspiciously and cowardly. As soon as walked in the shelf behind closed as quickly as the wind. He didn't even have enough time to turn around to see the shelf close. Now he didn't even have a choice but have to go towards the red light. Where else was he supposed to go? As he got closer to the light, he noticed it wasn't red anymore the light was turning yellow.
Eventually, he reached the end but his eyes were still adjusting to the brightness change. Finally, when his eyes came to a clear, he saw the most beautiful place he could
ever imagine. The grass was pure bright green, nearby a stream of water connected to a waterfall. A few very tall, huge trees were placed everywhere. Wonderful creatures he had never seen or read about before were spotted under the shade of some trees. The sky showed no sign of clouds and it was just a beautiful blue colour. Though everything was different the trees had pink fruit grown in the leaves. The creatures were changing form with every blink of his eyes. When leaves fell off the trees they turned into butterflies. At least they looked like butterflies they changed from purple to yellow to orange to blue. Eventually, when he had gotten over the beautiful view he turned around to look for the door but all there was, was a cliff wall. He tried everything to find the door but no such luck.
When he turned around to try and find someone to talk to. All he saw were two eyes extremely close to his face. Leo stepped back to look at the person who was so close to him. It was a nymph from Greek mythology he believed. She was so pretty her hair was blond and her eyes bright blue as the sky. She started to giggle and ran towards the nearby forest he hadn't noticed before.
As he followed her some bushes came in his way and he lost sight of the pretty acquaintance and starting calling out to her. "It's okay I won't bite can you call out to me." Eventually, he saw a clearing with a different girl standing in the centre. He couldn't see her face because her back was facing him. She had mid-length hair as brown as milk chocolate. She was wearing blue denim shorts that went up to her knees and a yellow t-shirt. She had a belt full of items, food, water, rope, a sword, a dagger and other things he didn't recognise. She had a bow and a quiver with multiple arrows with sparkling effects. All her tools were either light grey or yellow. She turned around and Leo noticed her shirt said boys in books are just better. Her eyes were the same colour as her hair and she had a light tan, she looked so human. As he tried to step closer, he accidentally stood on a twig and broke with a loud snap. The girl was so alarmed that within a blink of an eye she had her bow ready and aimed at him. She yelled out.
"Who's there?!"
He didn't come out because he was scared she would shoot him. She continued yelling out.
"I said who's there?! I will shoot, come out!"
Finally, he had no choice but to step out from the bushes. She didn't lower her bow but aimed right at his face.
"Who are you and where are you from."
Leo became very nervous and answered.
"I am Leo from planet Earth Australia."
She slowly lowered her bow and it disappeared. He realised so did her belt and quiver. She stuck out her hand in a request for a handshake.
"I am Isabella, huntress of Wistcopia."
He shook her hand lightly and her hand was so soft but had a firm grip.
He asked. "What's Wistcopia?"
She replied. "The city of this land, haven't you noticed the huge castle with various houses over there?"
He looked towards where she was pointing and indeed a magnificent castle stood on top of a hill far away in the distance.
She then asked. "What's an arth?" She said struggling to say Earth with a weird expression on her face.
Leo trying to hold a laugh replied. "Earth," He corrected. "It's where I'm from. A lovely planet. She looked confused. "Never heard of this Earth." Leo was so confused as ever.
"Well, I'll have to take you someday."
Eventually, it became nightfall and the sun started to set. Leo didn't know where to sleep, he didn't know how to get back. "Hey, Isabella can I camp with you tonight?"
How am I supposed to get home tonight. He thought to himself. She looked at him and thought for a moment considering this. "Sure I guess." After he showered in the stream and Isabella gave him some food. He was ready to sleep and Isabella got a cube out of her belt.
He looked at it. "What is that a little toy you play with?" He joked.
She laughed and replied. "You'll see." With a smug face. She laid it on the ground and pressed the button in the centre. Immediately a tent popped out but it was like a little tiny. It was 15 feet tall with white patterns all over the sides. The yellow door was beautiful with writing above the arch. They both went inside and it was like a castle inside. Leo was amazed at the view and how big it was compared to the outside. They walked towards the centre stairs.
Isabella stopped walking, pointing to the second-floor bedroom door and said. "You can sleep in the guest bedroom." He couldn't help but stare at everything. "This is your tent?" Isabella looked at him. "Yeah it's pretty tiny but it's the latest model." A question came to Leo's mind. "How big are your houses on the inside?" She looked around considering the lengths and calmly said. "About ten times as big." Leo couldn't help but leave his mouth hanging.
Eventually, he found his way to the bathroom and brushed his teeth. When he finally went to sleep and he woke up to the sound of chirping birds.
