Chapter 1Prologue

When I was younger my grandma, would always tell me stories of our family history, about how we help change how people live and how they think today. The one thing that always suck to me was the Legend of the a wild fox spirit, who become our family's shrine guard.

I would ask her everytime when she would tell anyone a story, to tell them about the Fox spirit, she used to see. She would shake her head laughing at how excited I would get everytime. I always love to hear about her stories, about the Fox spirit who guards the family shrine for many centuries now. Sometime Grandma, would get upset and wouldn't tell the stories all the time. Due to the fact she used to see him a lot when she was younger, until she started to go blind and almost lost all sigh of seeing him and anything in front of her when she became of old age. Since then she can only hear him, even though she only visited the shine every few months now, it still would hurts her not being able to see him like she used to. From the stories she would told me, that she could remember them like it just happened yesterday. Grandma even told me that he was a very handsome man, that had intensity Golden, yellow eyes that would send shivers down your back, with sliverish-white, neatly cut, almost to his shoulders hair. That made you want to just pet him like he was a dog. His features were soft, also femalen but, has a strong and powerful aura around him. You would've of mistaking him to be a celebrity; or an very well-known, rich man who hasn't really been see before.

That was if you didn't knew him that well. She strongly define that he a definitely a stubborn man but, does care a great deal for whoever caught his interest. Even though when she would go visit the shine. She didn't want me to come because, she didn't know how he would of reacted to a small child. Who was mature for her that the same time but, she still wasn't mature enough to fully understand who he was and he could do. Once I turn 10, grandma has turn fully blind and needed helping moving around going to and from the shine. My Mother and Father, were mostly busy taking care of the shine and work most of the time. While some of my siblings had activity after school or helping taking care of the toddlers. So the job fall into my hands, when I wasn't also helping out that the house.

The first day, when I went with her was also the first day I have met him. He never said his name and grandma would called him a grumpy bastard instead of his actually name. Which I found out why, she called him that from the way he looked at me and went back to his hiding spot, when he first saw me coming up behind grandma on the way up the left side of the shine's stairs.

After a few visits and seeing me a lot more than he wanted, he gotten used to me being there also. Sadly he had to get used to me anyways.

Few months around November, we lost grandma from natural causes of death that age around her 60's. Even though, she died peacefully she still would of wish to actually see him one last time. Shortly after, grandma left a will of saying, when I become old enough I will be the one taken over the shrine but, meanwhile I should visit it everyday to pay her and the gods respect, along with keeping the "grumpy bastard," company in her place was the last thing she has said.
