They didn't act immediately as I had expected. Instead, they spread out and took out a few more artifacts and placed them around the honeycomb.

Only after that, do they act; which means directly releasing their aura.

If monsters could think, their eyes would go wide, seeing the people brazenly releasing their aura so close to the honeycomb, but this is the difference between the monsters and the people.

They are dumb and also weaker compared to these five.

The monsters around the bee's want the honey, but barely anyone dared to enter inside for the honey, because the hive would attack them. 

By the time the bees finished; there wouldn't be even a skeleton there.

It is not like the bees are strong; they are weak compared to the monsters around them, but they are in huge numbers and their stings are extremely dangerous, even to these people, but they are people, not dumb monsters.
