Chapter 1End of Earth living

Growing up in a small almost rural community I learned quickly that I cannot rely on others to get what I need for myself. I learned by age six how to cut trees and limb them for easier transport. Sleds were pivotal in this pursuit back then. At age ten I was assisting my father with electrical wiring and design. It wasn't until age 15 that everything started really moving forward for me. You see I was always a nerd type growing up, and as such had many bullies. Just before March on 2015, I lost myself in depression and started fighting back.

My father had taught me never to throw the first punch, but always make mine the last to connect. That lesson was after I had five people proceed to beat me to a pulp in front of the school. Two weeks later, they brought a few more people to help give me a more thorough beating, only this time I wasn't the same person. Seven on one, and when I finished walking home that day, my bloodied face was still fresh. Though I had a cut over my right eye from one of the seven hitting me with a rock, I was the only person to walk away from the fight under their own strength.

Tenacity, i now realize is a family trait. This seemingly small but brutal event shaped me into an anti bully which I remained throughout high school.

Upon entering the workforce I took a job in construction, being as I grew up with a handyman for a father. I soon learned that this was a mistake. Going from a sitting class for 6 hours a day to a 16 hour brutal workout for 7 days a week, almost killed me. I then decided to try retail. I was good at it, but it lacked growth and financial incentive.

I tried vehicle repossession. Again I was good at it, but after being shot at a few times, I realized the pay is not worth the risk.

Finally I come to the end of this boring rant, my last living job was security for a mall. I didn't care too much for the position since I wanted to be a cop, but injuries prevented that. I worked this job for over a year, made a few arrests and got promoted four times within my first year! I was an armed security for a decent mall in the largest town in Alaska. Not a bad way to go.

I was on patrol when I heard the first crashing sound. I spun to face the direction it'd come from and could see people start fleeing. I find that I hold a sense of righteousness within myself and ran to check on the driver of the car that had plowed through one of the stores! As I was running I could see someone approach the driver side door, and then proceeded to shoot the driver! I immediately pulled out my sidearm and shouted, "drop the weapon!" No sooner I had I felt a searing pain tear through my left side! I heard the gunshots but never saw the shooter. It turned out I stumbled upon a drug rings inner dealings as they were dealing with some business.

I looked around for the shooter, finally finding them a few feet further back from the one I'd seen. I corrected my aim and shot him with two rounds. He dropped like a stone where he stood. The original shooter that had taken out the driver shot at me, and missed all three shots he got off, before I installed a new hole in his forehead about two inches off center.

I grabbed my radio, and started speaking quickly to my dispatcher. I never finished what I was saying before more gunshots rang out. Being in a mall with nothing to hide behind, I tried my best to get something to cover myself with. What was being fired now was not the typical pistols that drug traffickers used, but something automatic!

I never stood an ice cubes chance in hell. They shot me a total of 10 times out of their total magazine. I managed to hit them twice, but neither of us had folded just yet. I don't know why but pain itself seemed to just stop, and I have to chock that up to tenacity. I hobbled forward, and landed a final hit into the gunman.

I could hear the sirens, but they weren't near enough. Staring as hard as I could I read the plates of the car that was speeding away. FDK 9 - -. I needed to relay this, queued my radio, gave what I had, and started to fall forward. I dropped to my knees, then to my side. I used my blood to write it on the concrete wall near where I fell, FDK 9~. With that I closed my eyes. The world around me growing darker by the second.

The radio continued to chatter on, but I could feel myself fading fast. I let go of my sidearm, unable to maintain my grip any longer. I rolled to my left side, a dragged in a ragged breathe. Just as I was accepting my own death, I was grabbed, had someone's hand pressed into my neck, and could hear "10-4, I got a 10-12, multiple gunshot wounds, multiple shooters, I need~ oh my god!" I could not help but force my right eye open.

What I saw made my blood run cold. There were a group of guys walking over toward us, all of whom were carrying large automatic rifles. The officer stood, despite his odds tried to contain the situation. He didn't last long, as they shot him! I snatched up my pistol, that was still next to my hand, and tried to focus. I took aim and squeezed one round off before my vision faded to black completely.

I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

Across the vast convolution of worlds, divine beings rule as absolute sovereigns—each god assigned dominion over a singular realm. Skirmishes are inevitable, whether for power, amusement, or sheer pettiness. One such battle, between Nexus, the God of Trickery, and an aging, senile deity, resulted in an anomaly… A soul misplaced. Elliot, an ordinary man, was never meant for Ul’Tra-el. But fate, or perhaps a cosmic prank, had other plans. Unlike other worlds, Ul’Tra-el is an aberration—one that developed a voice. A voice that diverged from the natural order. A voice that changed everything. Its foundation cracked, leaking dimensions into one another. Rifts tore open like festering wounds, vomiting forth unspeakable horrors—monsters not meant to exist. But the world did not sit idly by. In response—perhaps an act of self-preservation—the world gifted its inhabitants power. Talents awakened, granting people extraordinary abilities. And for every rift sealed, the Voice of Ul rewarded them generously. Survival was simple: fight, grow stronger, and close the rifts… or die trying. In this ruthless, blood-soaked reality, Northern—a white-haired boy burdened by his past life—was reincarnated. But unlike the chosen heroes, he awakened as a talentless nobody. No power. No strength. No future. And when death loomed over him—when despair clawed at his soul and the cold grip of the failure threatened to take him— A Voice responded: [System Notice] [Your Soul cannot take a form.] [Searching for a Unique Pattern Ability…] [Searching…] [Search Found.] [A Unique System Ability has been detected.] [You Can Copy And Evolve Talents] ... Follow Northern through his journey as he becomes the pinnacle of this world. This a story about a white-haired boy’s rise from rubbles!! Note: This is an overpower genre but MC does not just start off like that. Even though MC can copy talents he doesn't just jump around copying talents because there's a limitation. However, his rise to strength is depicted and is an experience to enjoy. The first few hundreds would be frustrating to follow because MC is weak but that makes the experience all the more interesting when MC finally gets freaking strong and starts wiping the floor with everyones asses.
