😐 Did he really think his son would be safe and returned? You bargained with the wrong people and now this is the consequence of your actions. I feel sad for the boy but not so much the father. Sure anyone would prioritise their loved ones first, but at what cost? Sacrificing other people? I would always search for a way to 'minimize the damage as much as possible.' 🤔
This is a very difficult situation for the magistrate or any parent to be put in that position. Fear of what may happen if they do not comply with the enemy demands. Therefore, hope is only thing they have to hold onto. What make it more sad is how those children died in a form of tourcher it was not instant death.
